That's absolutely stunning. It looks brilliant, sounds great, and I'm loving the battle system - though from playing in the menu there may be some twists to come with that...

This can't come soon enough for me - September 2007 it says for the US, please make this be region free!

Yep, my thoughts exactly. One month today until the Japanese release. Bring it on!

It looks really nice, but I do have one issue with the battle system, and that's you can't always see the enemy on screen, which means you then waste time trying to find them, and as it counts down rather quickly, you can waste all your turn working out where they are - this is super lame.

Left trigger changes the camera angle in battle so you can find your foes

Heh that was bugging me for ages, until I accidentally hit Left trigger in battle

Absolutely gorgeous game , the comments earlier about looking like a Tales game are absolutely spot on. Missus came in earlier on and said exactly the same thing

Looks from the menus that you can assign characters to different pads... Anyone tried this? Presume it's only used during combat but pretty cute all the same.

Anyway, I'm enjoying this. The music's working, with the odd little bit of strummed guitar sounding distinct. The flower field is probably the loveliest thing I've played for ages, the combat's a neat mix of RPG and action (although I'm expecting it to become slightly more complicated with the 'guard' action over time), and the English translation is good quality. With Enchanted Arms the only RPG competition I'm aware of in PAL 360 territory it's pretty much an essential buy for me now...

Wow next gen japanese RPG celle shadingness, stunning.
Really did bring a smile to my face, even if the demo seemed hideously linear and brought nothing new to the genre

Amazing graphics but I'm not a veteran of these types of game so I didn't have a scooby what was going on / to do.

Played a couple of times, it does look LOVELY but the style (and I assume story) isn't dark enough for me. It's weird getting used to being able to run about in battles and remembering that I can make more than one move before my turn is over but I do like that, and it looks like there'll be no random battles as well. Oh, I like the chance/guard move, reminds me of Paper Mario

Sometimes I would be too late in pressing Y and accidently activate the next character's special move which was especially annoying if it was the kid with the camera standing in the shade.

Are there any downsides to using your special moves over your normal attack? Doesn't look like there's any form of MP wearing down each time I use them. Can hit a bigger combo with the normal attacks, maybe that's the benefit of them? Can't see the enemies HP either.

First thing I've ever downloaded off the Jap MP, was worth the extra account.

If you do a load of normal hits you build up a gauge on the right (echo gauge i think). Then when you use a special Y attack it uses that gauge up and is powered up by it. You also get a poncier quote by using one. Special attacks are best used just as your time runs out as it'll carry on and finish anyway.

                          Ahhh, makes sense, cheers.

Any idea why the girl says "I'm sowwie" after her dark special attack? Is she just apologising for hurting the monster in stereotypically girly fashion?

I am at least a bit interested in this, been a while since I got into an RPG.
