PS2 - What have I missed?

Sold my PS2 about three years ago I think but have just picked up another to catch up on some of the games I've missed.

Currently got this in the stack to play through:

R-Type Final
Gradius
God of War 2
Shadow of the Colossus
Okami
Final Fantasy XII

I still owned a GC and XBox but I kinda took my eye off the ball PS2 wise for the last couple of years. What other worthwhile PS2 exclusives have I missed from this time period (last three years)?

Well the original God of War, DMC 1 & 3 (probs best going for the Anniversary pack) and God Hand if you like your action games.

Bit of a RPG fan myself and there's too much on the PS2 here to get through - lots of choice! Dark Chronicle is great, the FF games of course, any of the megaten games (Nocturne especially), Disgaea, Atelier Iris of the top of my head.

DQ VIII is supposed to be brilliant but I still havn't gotten around to firing up my copy, and if Valkyrie Profile 2 is anything like the original than its definitely worth a look but once again I havn't gotten around to trying this out.

Also give the Katamari games a try - there hilarious.

Killer7 if you havn't already got it on the cube.

And you seem to like your shooters so if you're able to import there's lots of decent JAP shooters. Others will help you out more than me here. A lot of the CAVE shooters have been ported to the PS2 - quite pricey but they pop up on the trading forums here. Dodonpachi DOJ seems to be the most popular - rock solid though, i'm useles at it.

MGS3 Subsistence

Yes, but make sure you get subsistence, cos MGS3 is terrible when compared. The camera makes the game.

If you're into RPGs then I'd also give FFX a go. I can't remember if that was released over 3 years ago or not so you may have already played it, but if not then it's definately worth a shot imo. I'm only ~12 hours into FF12 but so far I definately think FFX is the better game. I'd imagine it's also pretty cheap now.

Also, God of War was released in July of 2005 (according to Gamespot anyway), so that's only two years old - it might be worth giving that a play through before GoW2.

Great thread Ish - My PS2 was only bought for Guitar Hero and then sat unused (I have DMC3:SE but it looks APPALLING on my LCD) - I've just rebought Tekken Tag and I've got GodHand en-route (?14.99 @ HMV Online) and R-Type Final still sitting unplayed.

Never got amplitude but I loved frequency.

C'mon people more stuff !!! Good, quirky stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I shall definetly check out God Hand. I've never been too keen on the MGS games but may still give MGS3: Subsistence a go as doubtless I'll end up playing 4 at some stage.

To give people a better idea of what I've played I think the last game I bought for my original PS2 was the first Disgaea. Before that I played (and kept) games like Rez and Ico - in fact I plan on replaying Ico for next months Replay.

Yeah no online play now.
If you liked the old camera, then probably not worth picking up, however if you found it useless like my good self, it's a definite purchase. The extras are pretty good too.
