    Vampire Rain demo (jap marketplace)

Just started it and it's all in english, including voices (which are pretty decent). Haven't had a chance to play anything yet though but will post impressions soon if anyones interested.

Gah, no checkpoints. Or at least very few.

I spent about 30 minutes going through a level (first mission requires just stealth; you can't engage the nightwalkers) but I messed up and was spotted. Hit the continue button at the game over menu (instead of the restart mission one) but it still went back to the start of the level

Not sure if I can be bothered to try that mission again, as it wasn't exactly a huge amount of fun the first time through. Having said that though, at least this time I'd know where I'm going and what I'm doing which should speed things up a bit.

Gonna try one of the other missions now. According to the demo description, it comes with two and some live play.

Edit: second ones much better, I guess they just didn't expect anyone to die at that point in the first mission. Oh well

Completred the first stealth mission and although it was stealth only i realy enjoyed it.Thought the rain effects wre well executed and the city itself was full of dull colours still looked impressive with all the rain n thunder n lightning going on and zooming in on the nightwalkers gives you a good look at how well they actually look up close..Controls wise very simple realy and not to different from Splinter Cell with the usual back to the wall/Cling /Hand/Climbe/Slide down the drain pipes ect.I like it when you are seen by a nightwalker and they jump at you from far away distances sometimes instant killing you then a little scene of them munching on you ala Resi Evil.

Played another level also where its just you and your shotgun in a dead end ally against a non stop gang of storming nightwalkers with only one thing on ther minds and boy if you got that twichy feeling when playing Res Evil then you know what i am getting act cos these boys dont half move fast and panick quickly sets in as you make sure your shotgun which sounds awesome btw is quickly reloaded for the next wave of walkers which is major as if you have only 2 bullets in your shotgun and forget to reload then its night night time.

Thats all ive played so far will try more later but i like the whole feeling of this game and looks like it will have a good mix of stealth and vampire action galore so im looking forward to it, although if your a PC gamer you will have seen games and engines like this before but still the game feels right for what its trying to acheive but its well worth alook.

Cool fast nightwalkers. Quite scary. But the general concept bored me rigid. First level: walk around without being seen. woooo.
Second level: be seen, run away and hide, "oh must have been mistaken, I'll just wonder off somewhere else now so that the player can progress", etc
Third level: walk around without being seen. woooo.
I'm pretty bored of stealth - it's just so tedius.
Fourth level: pull the trigger at the right moments to shoot the badguys. yawn.
The whole thing looks a lot like it was developed as an xbox game and has been made a bit more detailed, but it looks pretty good I suppose.

T'is alright I guess - nothing spectacular and Malavon must be on something cos the voices and dialogue are comedic if we're being nice about it.

With Charles a bit on the stealth thing - hitting my limit with it now though I'll make an exception for Manhunt2

            Malayon? :P

Anyway yeah, they were a bit dodgy in some places but I made my first post just after the first cutscene in mission 1 which I thought was alright. Not amazing but by most game standards I thought they were pretty decent.

              Fixed it

The way the dialogue is delivered is like a robot reciting pre-stored words

I`ve been looking forward to this game for ages, downloaded the demo yesterday and I`ve been left as disappointed as a terminally ill Scouse kid who`s Christmas presents have all been robbed!

I thought this game was utter rubbish and I`d really had enough when I reached the security offices. This game looks like MGS and Splinter Cell meets Resident Evil 2 (with Resident Evil 2 GameCube gfx) which would be an awsome combination if it wasn`t so ****!

I couldn't agree more Nembot. Also, I found the camera in the in-door sections to be terrible. Even if this came out at below £20 I wouldn't touch it. It just felt like a cheap (as in bad) budget game.
