            unlikely, its often the case development or debugging hardware is unfinished or has such anomolies.

              one thing I've noticed though, wheres the optical disc go? I see no slot, tray etc

                      Its gotta be a fake!?
                      Not least because there are big holes in the back of it, but also, Nintendo asked sony to develop a CD drive for there upcoming Snes. Clearly there is no CD drive on it. Plus Nintendo hired sony to make just the CD drive, not the whole console so why does it have Sony stamped on it?!

                            Sony are supposed to have developed an all in one unit that played SFC carts and the new CD-ROM based games. It's likely that the dev kit didn't have a CD-ROM but that discs were emulated on a PC.

                              Wasn't the PlayStation supposed to be an "add on" unit? Maybe they made their own SFC hardware to match it and the CD add on went underneath or whatever?
