    Tenchu Z (Demo)

Visualy the game looks alright, not bad and not great.

The movement for me is strange, as when you run it almost feels as if your character is being dragged down by something, the animation he's in is to fast looking for his speed.

Also the fact that it's very buggy and glitchy. When you walk over a few buckets he just pops up onto them. The roofs, the characters feet slip into the roof, very glitchy.

I do like the idea of getting covered with blood as you kill people or fight. But thats about the only thing i like sadly.

I played this under the real ale influence and I was bored to tears. It may have just been my drunken fumblings, but the controls seemed really imprecise and clumsy. I agree, the animation is really awkward and doesn't lend well to timing rooftop jumps. I enjoyed leaping from a roof and skewering some sap down below, but the on-ground fighting was tedious. As I say, I was a bit beered up, but the enemies seemed to be on perma-block. Not impressed, but may give it a sober reappraisal later.

I posted this at another forum, i've played every tenchu so i am used to controls and to how the games works.

Obviously been out in japan for a while and it definately shows with the graphics although i think the scenery looks really nice ( if a little dull but hey maybe its just the demo level ) the character models are'nt really anything to write home about, but saying that when you customize your ninja you can see alot of detail coming through.

Gameplay is tryed and tested Tenchu formula meaning this a pure "ninja Sim" than pure action and stealth is the order of the day, i must have gone through about 10 stealth kills just in the demo and there apparently more in game. Control is certainly refined and does the job nicely! The full game promises 100's of accessories for your ninja and full customization which sounds too cool and definately what the series needs!

Again i will be picking this up at the end of next month!

Really looking forward to the 4 player online co-op aspect, could be some quality fun to be had.

Din't think much of the demo, something seemed off - whether it was the "squareness" of it, or the fact that I got beat on way too much I'm not sure.
Hiding in a sewage pit and jumping out only to alert near enough the whole level's guards thanks to my odor probably had something to do with it tho.

Once i had done about 3 - 4 plays through the map, i was just running around stealth killing everyone, once you know there patterns you can pretty much just run up to them and stealth kill them from the front.

Never played the demo and aint played a tenchu game in quite a while but co-op sealed it for me!

How does it look/play? I've loved the tenchu series so far but wasn't to sure based on the XBL demo.

                    PEACE OUT
