    Does anyone own a Mattel Hyperscan?

    I know there're shedloads of naff barcode battlers/eReaders and the like but I'm genuinely intrigued by this fugly thing:

    Basically there are only a few games (X-Men and the like) and the point of it is you can level up and then save your stats onto the scan cards to be used on your best bud's system. Seeing as you can pick them up on eBay for about $10 (RRP $70) I don't think the chances of meeting someone else with one are high.

    That looks like something from a comic. It's definitely something I'd buy, if I were a collector.

      I have a mint barcode battler, box still in celophane - which I got as a kid, played with it for about 2 mins till I realised it was more boring than watching paint dry....
