Akihabara - Amazing Prices

Just been over at the Gaming Age Forum. There is a thread called "Im in japan what should i buy?" I am amazed at what software/hardware sells for in Akihabara. Best bargain has to be:

"Hot bargain at the moment (for ebay-ers) is the additional trance controllers at the softmap stores and at Messe Sanoh which are going for 560 yen (dirt cheap)." Less than ?3!!

I know there are a few people on this forum who would love to live in Japan. I suggest they pack up, get a plane ticket and an Ebay account and live the life of luxury.

Hmm I went to Akihabara yesterday. Among the bargains were Soul Calibur II and VF4 Hori sticks for 3,000 yen a piece (?15) and DC keyboards, mice and what-nots for 200 yen a pop (?1).

There's gold in them there streets......if you can be arsed.

my sister's boyfriend is off to tokyo in a few weeks to do some work... so i'm writing him a list of things that would be good to buy and giving him a wad of cash to do so.

I go to Tokyo Sept 1st, i'll have to watch my weight though, while in Akihabara just plannin on buyin a ltd Game boy SP n about 8 games why i'm there.
