Nintendo DS - So what have I missed then?

I've been out of the DS scene for god knows how long. I think the most recent game I own is animal crossing.

I haven't been playing it for months and months, and i've finally picked it up again wondering why i've stopped playing.

I've pretty much been out of the DS scene for a long time, so what games within the last couple of years would you say are absolute must-buys, regardless of region? Going on holiday next week and I want to take it with me.

I've already got the Ouendan games and Elite Beat Agents down on my list (Enough point in owning all 3?), and i'm interested in hearing what all of your favourites are.

Mario Kart hit the scenes before Animal Crossing but it's definitely worth picking up, still my favourite game on the system.

Kirby Canvas Curse was great, i'm quite enjoying Dragon Quest Rocket Slime at the moment as well.

New Super Mario Bros and Yoshi's Island have served me as good platformers. And Castlevania DOS is a top entry in the series, I imagine Portrait of Ruin is worth a look as well.

If you like your puzzlers than quite a few have come out recently, I would recommend Meteos but I havn't tried any of the newer puzzlers - Puzzle Quest, Planet Puzzle League etc. Someone else will help you out more here.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight then, I'll have a little thinky. Letting DS fall by the wayside is a bad move duder, a bad move indeed. You want Zelda though for sure, even in JPN it's highly fantastical, and Panel de Pon should be owned by all.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

Animal Crossing is a must. I usually hate sandbox games, but you get strangely attatched to Animal Crossing.

Can't find a First Play thread for Planet Puzzle League, that any good then? Saw it on a demo pod but never played it, front end looked similar to Luminies. Does it have a decent soundtrack?

Check out the review for Panel de Pon. It's the same game.

I have to say I've not touched my DS for a while.
I bought Club House Games (known as 42 DS Classics here in the UK) cheap in Tesco & I got bored really quickly. Ifu dont know much about card games or have no interest in card then dont bother because thats what it mostly contains.

I'd go with the Brain Training games because u get Sudoku with BT 1 too!!

Hehe don't hold out for too long catching up on the ds.

I was shocked to find out today that theres already been 515 ds games released in japan according to the massive free cataloge that came with this months nintendo dream mag. Quite handy as it has screenshots for every game so im going to check out the ones i might have missed.

Not bad, but for the love of God, get Puzzle Quest instead of Zoo Keeper.

Indeed Zoo Keeper is the best DS game ive played, and the only one I still play.

                            Love the ending

Shame the music in zookeeper ds is so bad. Why couldnt they have left the excellent gba soundtrack in it.
