Ryan Hart: UK's best Fighting Game Player?

I was messing about on YouTube and kept seeing Ryan turn up on tournament videos. And these were high level matches too, not just casuals down at Goodge St Casino.

The thing is, this guy was at one stage the UK KOF 98, Tekken 3 and Virtua fighter Champion....at the same time. He has carried on this high level of achievment and seems to be getting better and better.

Does he play games 24/7? Why is he so good?Does anybody know him?

I am not one of those ass-lickers that hang around him but was baffled how somebody can be that good on so many different games.

I think the PC gamers would have something to say about that, but it certainly sounds impressive. Have a look at some of the top FPS players though and you'll see most of those will turn their hands to others. I know FPS games may look more similar and easier to move between, but it's just as tricky as mixing 2D and 3D beatem ups.

Heh, remember when Sujoy went 'pro' all those years ago?

Dangerous fellow. He worked for Sega the last time I bumped into him. I haven't seen him in a few years though, so I don't know what he's up to now.
      Kept you waiting, huh?

I've never heard of the guy but i know what exactly what you mean.

I remember reading about this guy who calls himself pacattack and he done a world record score on supermonkeyball. -Quoted in an edge mag.

Then a while back i came across this website and it had these scoreboards or records for loads of games and he was 1st in most of them and some of the games were even ****ty games.

This guy is a machine. I used to be able to beat him on Alpha 3 'back in the day', but never got near him on most of the others.

Nice to see that we can produce quality players here though.....

So his first pet was called Ryan, and his mother's maiden name was Hart.

Yeah, he's up there with the best of them. Only met him a couple of times. Seems like a really nice guy too.

Blimey - to be good at 2D and 3D fighters is pretty impressive. I am reasonable at KOF games, but am a button bashing philistine on 3D-ers.

UK has lots of good players, and Ryan is a really well known great player. Profficiant in many games rather than just one. There are plenty of other "top heads" for fighting games in the UK too.

For those that used to attend the Ranking Battles for SFIII, and browse the forums of SRK, NeoEmpire and RB.com or played at Casino and Troc, many of you will know of these dudes.

CIV: Mad Chun Li player. I was at Troc once where he got 40+ wins in a row from all comers! Only to lose once, and then come back on and rack up another 20+ wins!

Harmonaz: Ex\Current Xbox Live player that uses Akuma and is now reknowned for pulling of Kara Raging Demons at will. Such a hard character to be effective with as well, because Akuma has full body testicle syndrome...takes damage like mad!

RaJu: Well know London player that is known for his use of a Blue Urien and also his Makoto. Really dangerous player who capitalises on mistakes of others. Fear the Aegis!

Well, bit late in making the post but they made it through the qualifiers and are going to SBO! They live at rankingbattles.co.uk, and a mate of mine is making a video documentary about their journey to SBO. The videos below are from his youtube channel.

For those that don't know, SBO is a massive world wide tournament held for fighting games. The Japanese always tend to dominate the other teams, but hopefully that will change when Team UK goes!

Such a great set of matches! Noise...Drama, and more NOISE! Loved the Win Quote

"What I have to say yeah..BOY..that when it comes to Arcade Mode...HEADS ARE GONNA GET OFF'D!"

Gonna be so weird following a team that you have read about, and played a bit against going to the grandest stage that the game can be on.

Here's hoping that they do some massive damage. If I remember correctly SBO is 12th August.

Street Turk you bint! Aint soon you online for yonks! Need to get back on SF3 and HSFII again some time. ;D I'm actually half decent at Super Turbo now. :P GIEF and DHALSIM FTW!

Good post-who is the guy who plays at Troc and uses Dudley? He batters everybody there.

chinese and parries EVERYTHING....might be called Sean or something?

                      heh

                      I am back online now

                      But

Keep having trouble with lag. Shouldn't do as I have a good 5 meg connection.
Very annoying as you can imagine.

Ironically, I am now much better on 3rd Strike...but still maintin my powers on Anniversary...

My ID is scorpi0n man-add me as a friend. Will be good to play somebody decent...see how much better I have got!

Let me know when you want to do it...

                        Yep!

He wasn't 'into it it' though...but still held his own.

WTF are Kara Raging Demons? What's so difficult about pulling them off at will too? I know most of those guys though. Fun dudes.

I thought so as everybody used to hang out there for challenges on the latest games.

Ryan Hart used to beat everybody on KOF, Tekken and Virtua Fighter. I didn't really see him challenge on the Capcom games back then though.

Kara Raging Demons are hidden moves that kill the oppenent by poking him in the eyes or crushing them between your thighs.
