Threads of this kind are just a heads-up for people that may only use the forum the majority of the time - hence the lockage.

Yes, the few (usually grammar police) ruined it for the many unfortunately.
Remember, discussion leads to opinions, opinions lead to arguments, arguments lead to lockage, lockage due to INCORRECT OPINIONS!

I hope I'm not being rude but when a new review was posted, it was allowed to be discussed and people were then more likely to read the reviewand look at the main site.

As nothing is allowed to be discussed publicly on the matter, and that recent thread showing a majority of people really are not reading the main site anymore maybe it would be good to open these once open threads?

Actually that thread showed that it was about half and half, not the "majority". And that was only of forum members. There's far more people reading the main site than read the forum.

And no, it won't be good to open these threads again. Everyone can post feedback by using the link at the bottom of each review. Please do so.

I'll investigate the safari problem, but I doubt there's anything I can do since it's standard vbulletin stuff.

Edit: works for me in safari that I've just installed. I click on the banner and it opens the review in a new window.

the thread hasn't got a text link - the banner (the url you posted first) is visible, with the review hotlinked into the banner

try a different browser if you can
