The shotgun part is the best looking bit ater watching it again.
Wow, you really are hard to please. The whole gaming community is salivating over the RE5 trailer, saying quite rightly how astonishing it looks. Dripping with atmosphere, lovely HDR lighting, fantastic character modelling, and the tantalising glimpses of the furious action in the game.

Too bad if you don't like it, but hey, your loss.

There's a trailer also on the PS3 network, is it the same one?

Edit: Just watched it, looks great!

It's the same trailer, though there is a 1080p version on there

After playing EDF 1-3 I can safely say that:

A game can have a crappy framerate and jaggies and still be superb.

          Conversely,

A game can have a flawless framerate, no tearing and very few jaggies, and still be generic, banal crap that gets pissed all over by above mentioned game.

There must be something wrong with me because when I see in-game footage I don't whip out my pedant's checklist and start hyper-analysing the graphics. I simply look at the overall feel of the visuals, ie, the style, and assess whether or not the game looks fun. Technically, as long as there isn't horrific stuttering, frequent, bad tearing and saw-blade jaggies, then I don't tend to notice, or care. Of course, in the middle of a fight against 30 loonies in an enclosed space, I'm going to pause and look for the technical failings of the visuals. Even after EDF, where all those bad things were present and more, the game is just so fun I've shoved the technical rulebook up the arse of Mr. Pedant.

This demo may have had the jaggies, etc, that I didn't notice, I was too busy looking at the setting, style and potentially ball-busting action. Resi 5 looks like an adrenaline-fuelled blast. That's all that matters for me. Technically, we'll see if the framerate et al matters come release day. But when the game's a million months away, does anyone really give a toss about its 'problems' at the moment?
