Turns out it didn't unlock on Steam anyway, and has changed from unlocks in "2 hours" to simply "December" and now no release date at all. So a let down all-round really.

( Apparently it is available via direct2drive for ?29.99 but people are reporting loads of bugs with it, and no doubt that'll be < ?15 in a month's time ).

The videos are enough to convince me that this is going to be truly awful and I would rather put my nuts in a vice (which is probably in this game) Where Saints Row 2/3 is pretty much toilet humour this is just sick for the sake of it and doesn't have any redeeming quality's. How these guys keep going is beyond me, then I never understand how that Cabals big game hunter keeps coming out either.

I'd say it definitely looks to have it's moments, this looked pretty amusing:

Are you serious? That looked absolutely appalling. I especially liked how one Chinese guy walks in front of the other who then shoots him, talk about quality AI there! You're comparing games like Assassin's Creed and Uncharted to this?

Why's that a problem? I've never given a monkey's about little things like that.

The Assassin's Creed series has always been the perfect example to me of polished graphics, but over controlled gameplay experience resulting in an extremely boring game where the emphasis is on cinematic gameplay over actually having a laugh. Nothing but po-faced, easy games that take themselves far too seriously. If all games were like that I'd give up the hobby. A game's fun factor is independant of how much technological know how has gone into it.
