EA drop online support for a stack load of games

Vote with your wallets people. I gave up on EA last gen. I've never logged onto an EA server and have no intention of doing so.

If the Orange Box requires EA servers, I think I'll cry.

May have to look up the achievements for the sports games to see if I could get some of them.

As someone posted on the GB forums, about time EA removed ALL MP achievements / trophies though, fooking clowns.

Why should they remove mp achievements?
It normally goes a bit like this....

EA to close servers of old sports games.
Oh we better re-buy all these old sports games, so we can get the achievements before we can never get them ever again.
Achievement forums unite!

As if it truly matters in the long run.

COD4 didnt have any MP achievements, so that game you could always get 1000G on, it didnt and still doesnt affect that game online.

As for rebuying, I keep the majority of my games, I havent bought a Tiger Woods for my 360 since 09. I have FIFA 08 and 09, Madden 08 and 09 and EURO games. Really surprised at the 2010 FIFA World Cup game on PSP though. I have been playing it alot recently as it's one of the free downloads with new PSP Go's, so surely there would still be merit in keeping that going abit longer.

I just think it's a horrible thing, especially since EA doesnt have system link in their games, so totally scuppering any idea's of long term MP enjoyment with friends.

Yeah massively annoys me when they do this, I make it a policy of grinding any EA game with multiplayer achievements as soon as I get them now.

this is my fear with everything coming more online needed

when i take out a ps2 or psone i am confident i can play games but now.....whats going to happen in say 10 years when i feel like a game of borderlands doubt there will be no servers so all the patches and the more recent addons i wouldnt be able to get anymore

Shame NHL 09 is on the list, it was the last good EA version (before that put that stupid Fight-Night mini-game clash crap into it).
