How do you get into Betas?

As in title, I've noticed a few guys here have been part of the Home and Warhawk Betas. I'm just wondering how you got in? Is it totally random or is there a site you have to join?

Some of us got into the Warhawk beta through some hack however there are people in the home beta legit so they will probably be more help.

Check here every day for the PS3 Home beta trials.

I'm a Beta Trial member - got into it a few years ago when they were recruiting for people - tested a few PS2 games and a PSP game. I wouldn't mind being involved in the PS3 trials when eventually rear their head(s)

It's worth hanging around the EU PS community forum too in case they start recruiting. There used to be a separate Beta Trial Forum but it was merged with the EU PS Community a while back.

I check the home Beta site every day in the hope it will change to a signup form or something. Bet it'll change while I'm away sometime or something and I miss out.

It seems one of the best ways to get in is to become a member of GAP.
Bear in mind that this is not the same thing as becoming a member of GAP.

You could also lie & cheat like it seems me & Myth did for Warhawk...

There was a way to install Warhawk without getting an invite. It was a one off and you're unlikely to see it happening with anything else.

That site has been up for an age and says "Keep checking back on this site to register an interest in taking part in an exclusive closed Beta Trial of Home?".

I think it was released for the closed beta that started back then.

That's the feeling I get too. It's one of my 2 homepages so I get to see it everyday to check.

I think Home will be download only(?) and it's not due to get the full release until late winter sometime.

I think Geezer opened this thread to find out how to get into betas rather than buying full products which is why I was suggesting that he may hear something about the open beta at Leipzig.
