    Royal Mail standard parcels question?

i am currently waiting on a sega high grade stick, which was send last week via standard parcels(shudder), anyhow i really need to go out, and i fear i may miss delivery at some point and have to treck 12 miles to the nearest post office pick up point.

my question is, what time scale during a normal day do standard parcels work to? is it before 12.30am like royal mail normal post? or is it like a courier and anytime up till say 6pm?

    any help appreciated.

There's no standard whatsoever mate. We for example start ours at about 10-11am... other offices start earlier, some later. If there's a real bulk amount of them some may be done on overtime, in which case some of our lads have been out til 7pm...

There is no universal timescale, and that counts for EVERY type of mail except special delivery. Any item of mail can be delievered from 7am to any time PM.

Standard parcels is 3-5 days remember.

Our parcel/packet drivers all finish by 13:30.

Whereas ours used to finish at 2:45pm...you see what I mean.

Quickest thing to do : Ring your local delivery office and ask if the packet driver for (insert your area) has gone out yet!
