Everytime you think that, just remember that the EU VC is all in super slow squashed PAL-o-vision.

I picked up Yoshi's Story tonight and spent a bit of time with it. I liked this a lot back when it first came out and it's lost none of it's charm now. Lovely graphics, perhaps some of the best ever in a video game, and a nice soundtrack too. I like the gameplay as well, despite it being so light weight when compared to Yoshi's Island.

Yoshi's Story! I might finally buy something from the VC, cos none of the xbox emulators ever quite managed to run this one to an acceptable level.
I love Yoshi's Story. It is one of the lovliest looking games ever created.
It really is, I'm glad to see some other people think so too.
It is really short and very easy though unless you are going for 100% on everything.
Yes, it is short, especially if you only want to take the shortest route through the levels (level 1 in each "world").
However, is it actually possible to 100% the levels? Unlike Yoshi's Island, which had a well defined scoreboard at the end, I don't think there's a max score to aim for on each level ... I could be wrong tho, as it was the Jap version I bought, so it wasn't particularly clear.

Well, that's settled it, I've decided to download it on the strength of the above few posts. Should keep me entertained until Halo 3 at least.

I downloaded it and to be honest i didnt have fond memories of it when i bought it originally, and im just not feeling it, on the other hand my 6 year old son thinks its the bees knees, so maybe that somes up the game.

              I'm with you on this...

I know that it was never the most highly regarded platformer to be released on a Nintendo machine but I really enjoyed it when it was first released.

Do we have a UK date for this yet?

I think that's the problem. I honestly think Yoshi's Story is a delightful little game and never regretted buying it. Just... being a sequel of sorts to Yoshi's Island, that builds your expectations rather a lot.

no theres no 100% score but you can: unlock white/black yoshi's, get 3 hearts on each level, play through the game 4 times going on level 1 in each world, then level 2 in each world etc, attempt all/30 melons on each level as you play through, etc.
