    MGS3 plot questions

When Snake and EVA meet for the first time part of the conversation goes like this:

    Snake: "What happened to ADAM?"

EVA: "Colonel Volgin is a very suspicious man. He decided ADAM wasn't
the right person for this mission."

What is she talking about? Why would Volgin have any knowledge of her sneaking away to help the US agent whose going to eliminate him? The only sense I can make of this is that the name Volgin is an error in the script and should be Khruschev, as he is the one sending these "KGB" ex-NSA codebreakers to help Snake and would be the one deciding wheather ADAM or EVA is the right person for the job.

Another couple of things: Are we meant to assume that EVA became romantically linked with Sokolov before the start of the game while he was being forced to work on the Shagohod by Khruschev? Because the first we see of her she is on the helicopter disguised as "Tatanya - apparently Sokolov's woman." When she gets electrocuted for the first time (at the wearhouse entrance place with jettis) Sokolov reacts very emotionally distressed whimpering "Tanya." He has a family back in America and it is never explicity implied that he is unfaithful with EVA.

How does she know to call herself EVA? Are we meant to assume she has super m4D h4x0r 5kI11z in spying and knows her stuff?

Also at the end when Ocelot is having his phone conversations he is talking to a third party, likely Brezhnev, as he says "Khrushchev is finished. Your time has finally arrived..."

He then talks to the US, saying "And the Soviets still haven't discovered my true identity. They have no idea that I've been triple-crossing them..."

Surely he is double-crossing rather than triple-crossing. If it were triple he would actually be on the side of the GRU/Spetznaz, with his superiors openly knowing about his activities with the US, and knowing that the US think he is fooling the GRU, when he infact is fooling the US and is in legion with GRU. So I also think this is an error, as it seems like the definition of a double-cross to me. Ah wait, maybe he is actually on the side of the GRU, because he helped Brezhnev get into power, which the US didn't want. But then again he told the US about the Metal Gear Plans. Ahh! I'm so confused.

Why does he repeatedly try to kill Snake? Is it because he is actually on the GRU side? I don't think that his attempts are just for fun, him messing about (and pretending its serious) to worry Snake. He really tries to kill him. On the plane at the end, on the bike chase, turning up with Spetznaz after Snake first meets with EVA, during Snakes escape after capture etc. If Snake died, Ocelot would have jeopardised the chances of giving the fake micro film to EVA (ie the Chinese) which was part of his mission as ADAM.

Lastly, and most importantly, what the hell does "Kuaburra Kuaburra!" mean!?

"Kuwabara, Kuwabara" is something that Japanese people say to protect them from lightning. Quite why Volgin would have any knowledge of Japanese is beyond me, but I guess Kojima had less knowledge of Russian?
