I do. I'm not sure why, but its like an addiction. An expensive addiction which often means I've got a lot of games stacked up waiting to be played. I know it doesn't make any sense and is costing me a fortune. Maybe I need help.

Its a great time to own a 360 though, but you should see the current value of my pre-orders at ShopTo. I hope the missus isn't expecting much for her Christmas this year.

Best thing to do is pick the 2 or 3 you REALLY want, then leave the rest for the inevitable January sale - christ, half of those will be halfprice before Xmas even hits as once again the same few titles sell ****loads and all the rest suffers.

Then doesn't get a sequel, due to poor sales. See BG& E.

I think what he meant is that folks tend to release the bigger titles at christmas every year. In which case he's right.

They just release it all at the end of the year for the upcoming Christmas crazy time (tm). Greed, nothing more.
Ah well, we moan when there's nothing released, we moan when there's too much choice. We're a strange bunch.

problem is not just being able to afford the games but finding the time to play them all

I agree with Yoshi, the release schedules for the Wii and PS3 for the remainder of 2007 are pretty lacklustre compared to the 360's. As for releasing so many good games now, I think it's great as it gives people something to do during the cold, dark and usually wet evenings. Better they be released now than in spring/summer at any rate.

I don't understand this. Almost all of the mentioned games are coming to PS3 also before christmas, plus R&C, Unchartered and possibly Unreal Tournament 3.

There's a lot of good games in there. But Galaxy and MP3 are higher on my list than all of those. Guitar Hero 3 and Assasin's Creed are the only definite buys. Eternal Sonata looks amazing, but I can't stomach another RPG just yet, that's a January saler for me. The Orange Box is tempting though.

Clearly the 360 is the best for quantity, but there's a lot of games that kind of merge in to one category and don't warrant a purchase. I've only recently bought Bioshock and Halo 3, yet here come even more bloody FPS'.

Yeah, winter 2007 is to the 360 what winter 2000 was to the Dreamcast.

It's by far and away the strongest platform this holiday, though things will be far more even quality-wise (and perhaps in the PS3's favour) in the winter/early spring of the next.

Epic have said they're trying to get it done before the end of 2007 unofficially I think, though it's hardly concrete.

Blimey you've got some serious issues chief. Is there any thread you don't try to turn into a "The 360 is better than the PS3" thread. (Also this time the Wii cops it to balance the books a bit).

Honestly has what Sony have done in relation to the PS3 really left you feeling so bitter and twisted. You've got your 360 and love it, why do you even care?
