Yeah, I'd use G3 alot if I wanted to equip C4. The guns all feel different and act differently so it allows you to really play around with your classes.

I need to read more into the class changes for BF3 as I know Assault seems to have been beefed up with revives now?

Oh yeah, snipers play a role. But my point is they don't need to be in a squad. With only 4 spots, you're better served with people who are getting snuck in. Respawning on teammates is essential, and if the last of your squad is 500 yards from your last position cowering in a bush, they can't help in that regard

Get in a chat room, and get a sniper to help you out. But I don't like them in my squad

The sniper is equipped with the mobile spawn point which is dead handy for the team!

I remember the original BF:Vietnam had this, it was a tunnel that you could enter and exit somewhere else on the map. Really useful if you could get it near a base.

Yeah, instock at Play too! Sod working in their warehouse, the temptation to get stuck in a week early must be very tempting indeed.

Still pissed the yanks get this 3 days before Europe though. It means a very un-even Battlefield for the first couple of weeks or so. IIRC though, BF:BC2 was unplayable online for the first week anyway due to problems!

BF1943 was also dead for the first week. Battlefield launches never go well.

Yes, lack of console showing is a serious concern. As we saw with the Beta, people were seemingly expecting PC quality graphics on their consoles and there was a bit of backlash

Saying that though. The recent tv ads have been 'Xbox 360' footage and it was a massive step up in quality from the beta.

It has made me hold back on buying it especially after the glitches encountered in the beta. Every now and then I get excited like a kid and just want the game and then later I will put the sensible hat on and think waiting might be the better idea. Really want to see that they have addressed the glitches and balanced things out and see a bit more of what the finished product properly looks like on the 360.
Makes me wish I was into PC gaming but as it is my rig struggles with Bejewelled

I've not seen the TV ads so can't comment. Should be pointed out that you can do far more graphically in a single player campaign than in a typical Battlefield sprawling multiplayer map where you can't control the scenario / graphic load.

I'm getting excited about this, thinking of firing up 1943 this weekend

I just sold BC2 so I'm now on complete Battlefield shutdown until the 28th now.

Today's trailer for the campaign is looking immense. The lighting and visual effects especially are what makes this game shine for me.
