Depends if you had the dreaded sniper squad, doing nothing but watching their K/D, about one of battlefield's only flaws, and you may have read me complain about it often in the thread, but try find some friends, who want to play together, and have a mix of classes, ie your assault guy throwing out med packs all the time, your sniper can recon, support making sure you stay well ammo'd up and your engineer taking out tanks, and remember get every squad member to spot, select on console, im not sure what on pc FSW, there's a great video somewhere in this thread how to play BF3 better, go watch it, tips like pick up other kits, ie your medic dies take his kit and you medic for a while. With a great squad you should be able to dominant the battlefield.

Endgame is..interesting.
CTF with dirt bikes is proper nonsense fun, although the team we were playing against tended to park up a tank/LAV outside our base and just try to blast us. Wankers.
AS is crazy. I think I averaged about 15 seconds per life lost. On the plus side, capturing bases alone has boosted my jet XP and will see me having everything unlocked later this morning. DICE should really have restricted it to bare-bones dogfights, with no other weapons than the guns to have made it REALLY fun.
Overall, 6/10ish.
Generally my attitude with this DLC is: hurry up and bring out BF4 so all the ultra-hardcore will **** off onto that. THEN it'll be worth playing.

random bf3 question but can you play the newer game modes on the older maps without purchasing the additional maps.
eg can you play gun game on standard or karkland maps without buying close quarters. the data should be there as isnt it in the first half of the patches as you can be killed by those new weapons even if you have no access to them.

Kryss is right, some of the conquest maps gain additional points and they also gain additional vehicles. And it isn't restricted to more jeeps/transport, maps also gain types of vehicles. Example off the top of my head, caspian border gains another capture point, the giant red white tower and mobile AA tanks.
