Good one 112, already have it somewhere, but I got stuck after having visited the morgue (I think).

    Will give it a whirl.

It really IS a horror thread, with this genre being thin

Still Life is a superb game of it's type and can definitely be considered horror themed. It was made by the same people who did the two rather good Syberia games. Knocks the messed up crock of **** that was Fahrenheit into a cocked hat.

Two other 'horror-themed' games on the XBox are Hunter:The Reckoning and Hunter:The Reckoning - Redeemer. They play like a Resi-influenced shoot 'em up version of Gauntlet and are pretty enjoyable, but don't require any brainpower.

Just picked up Obscure yesterday: it's nice indeed. Cliché's galore, even recognised an actor that models for the 'cool dude'. Love the style so far. The flash light weapon thingy reminds me a bit of Alone in the Dark 4, which is good. Thanks for pointing this one out lads!

Finished Obscure yesterday, that boss was actually very easy... stil lots of fun.
Stuck (again!) in CotC, I mean, how many times do I have to stab that guy in the face! This game is becoming a real drag. It goes on a bit too long for me.
Gave The Thing a good go, and once I got to grips with the controls, it's a fairly good game, I'll admit. (guess I didn't like it at first, 'cause I always thought it was FPS )

Ahh.. The Thing. I really want to go back to this, as I thought (for the few hours I played of it) it was great. Quite funny to be running away from something, turn around, start firing yer machine gun then accidentally taking someones head off. End of game.

Pretty much like real life I'd imagine, apart from the monsters*

              *I hope

Theres not enough love for Cthulhu, the gamplay constantly evolves and I thought it was one of the best games I played in 2005. Yeah its hard in places, deal with it.

Dark Corners of the Earth is a fantastically under rated gem.

Rather than elaborate on why here, you can read what I think about it on the main site.

Shame that it was completely broken on PC. How fast everything happened was tied to your screens refresh rate. For example, if you had screen with 80hz refresh rate, everything happened about 25 percent faster it should have. This made some events like Escape from Innsmouth practically impossible. But the game had lovely atmosphere.

I might give Call of Cthulu another go as i didnt really get that far when i replayed it at my mates house a couple of months ago.

I just hate 3D jumping though, sigh............
