OK, lame title for the blog, but tough, I'm being a huge fan boy right now of Assasin's Creed.

Think my blog will basically just be a rant regarding what games I'm playing, and what films I'm watching (as that's pretty much what my life is made up of :P) So don't worry, if there's any spoilers, I will use tags not to ruin it for everyone. Also, generally to moan and complain about everything else going on at the time!

So I'll start my first blog by detailing a few things about me.

Real name is Josh, I'm 23 years old, and been living in England for a quite a few years now. I'm originally from the USA, but being a military brat, got moved around a lot. For some reason the moving around continued, and I ended up in the UK.

I'm a HUGE gamer, maybe not so much as a lot of people here (and my knowledge entent is laughable to many others), I love video games, ever since I first played Final Fantasy 1 on the NES. I can't even remember how young I was, but my older cousin played it, and he finally let me have a go, and fell in love with it. Since then, my gaming tastes have varied. (Although I do have a complete collection of Square-Enix games from the SNES up to now as I'm that sad.)

My MMORPG of the moment is Phantasy Star Universe, been playing since February, thanks to Riskbreaker on this very forum. Things have changed so much in the last 9 months. From hiding in corners from huge purple balls, to laughing at them and running right out towards them, to only then be killed by one of them, and then mooned by one of my allies. Good times.

The expansion is out tomorrow, and have no idea how frustrating it is that the update will be there at 10am UK time, and I'll be at work from 7am to 3pm, so it's going to kill me knowing I can't download until I get home. This game will pretty much be taking up my life for a long time now, but I will make time to finish Assassin's Creed as that would be a crime not to.

Well that's all I'm going to rant on about today (boring huh?).
I'll probably update every few days, as tomorrow there's no way I'll be donig anything but moaning about now having the expansion of PSU until I get home .

I was kinda hoping we would get a glimpse of it on the marketplace today, guess we'll have to wait.

I was actually walking to work today thinking about what you said about it a few days ago.

We're paying £20 for basically an update. I mean, we're getting 2 new missions and some new items, etc. I was thinking "other games, and PSU on occasions, gave us this amount of stuff in a normal update".

So we're paying for a typical update. I mean if you look at www.playonline.com and see the stuff FFXI gets in their seasonal updates its huge!! And free!!

So I totally see where you're coming from, but you know we're both still gonna buy it :P

Heys Josh, i didn't find that boring. I live in Coventry too..how do you find the city? I checked your profile, it says you like Ice Hockey, do you follow the blaze?

Hardly play turn based RPG's, sorry, played some pokemon and a few FF games, but i'm more of a fan of action rpgs such as Legend of Zelda.

Hehe, it should be good. The city? I guess it's okay... nothing sspecial :P I love ice hockey, but not so much the Blaze. I played during high school and all that, so it was very cool

No turn based RPG's for you? PSSHT, enough of those lies.

As many people know lately, there's a HUGE amount of games out, and it's getting me a bit confused.

I still have to play Metroid Prime (although this is now way back on the burner), Super Mario Galaxy, and Umbrella Chronicles. I have to complete Assassin's Creed, and Mass Effect turned up today. FFXII Revenant Wings is on it's way to me, and so is Soul Calibur Legends.

What makes all these quality games worse? It's the fact the expansion of Phantasy Star Universe came out, and boy is it amazing. We get to fight a Rolie Polie on a speeding raft, which is absolutely fantastic! I've also become very successful in synthing weapons now, so the game is finally giving back to the players. While I would have liked though, is more than just 6 new missions and a few new weapons. I would have liked a few more things to do as well.

Then came the casino!! Guaranteed, every night a massive amount of players appear here to gamble their 1 silver coin to get lots of money to buy things with in the prize booth. Such a simple idea, but oh so addictive.

I can now see Phantasy Star Universe taking up a lot of my time for the forseeable future, although I luckily make some time to play some of the other games I'm wanting to, but it does get confusing.

Now excuse me while I go attempt to save Princess Peach from the Seed who I need to assassinte from behind with my Blaster to protect the Gurhal System from the evil Emperor of Delmascus!
