UK was right to ban that game , its a load of crap (imo of coruse) . And to be fair our laws aren't too bad compared to whats happing in Japan of late .
But yeah , You have to import when it comes to Nintendo Europe and thier shocking contempt for the Pal market , SONY aren't much better

Yeah and company makes a games to make a profit , they?re not doing them because they love us all. Doesn?t stop people giving them credit ? .

MS deserver a lot of praise for the way they?ve treated the Pal market in terms of 50/60Hz and short release dates between games and demo?s shipping the USA and then over here . A dame sight better, than what SONY or Nintendo Europe had offered the Pal consumer over the years , that much is for sure

Indeed. When they announced the Xbox 1 I was intrested but had no real reason to think it would take on the PS2. After the Edge review of Halo, a brilliant console, fantastic games and even a £100 money back for early adopters like me they won my heart.

Five years on they still have the best console out there, the best games, 60hz as standered with 4:3, SD support, world wide day one release dates and a brilllaint online service. Microsoft have really won a lot of the hearts and minds of the UK community, they really do deserve a lot of credit.

Even more so that Sony and Nintendo UK treat us with contemt after all these years.

Things are better and the xbox is king of this but I would never own a PAL Nintendo Console due to the fact we always come last and get shafted on price. Usa all the way.

Sony is not much better, I have usa machine's and this means cheap blu-rays and cheaper games in general thanks to importing.

Anyone who buys games from there local high street and blu rays has far too much spare income

I've been posting on ntsc-uk since 2003. Was quite a different place back then. People where really on the ball when it came down to importing games, Which places to get them, playing REALLY great Japanese only games like Psyvariar 2 and all that. Pointing out the Differences between East and West version of DMC3. Was great. I remember playing Viewtiful Joe on my Jap/USA Gamecube for the first time

Now its all calmed down. This place isn't an importer enthusiast board any more. It's just another videogame forum. But all due to a lesser need to import games. Microsoft are treating us really well in PAL land and I don't really see the need to import an x360 or games. We can track down cheap pal games from certain sites, and a lot of stuff is region free. I applaud Microsoft for there efforts.

Also no region locking on the PS3 is a step in the right direction. Even if Sony have a habit of forcing sites like like-sang out of business. the *****.

This is really the point I was trying to make. It's still a great place to chat about video games. But it is very different to 2001 when I picked up my Xbox in the USA on Launch.

It is interesting that people credit Microsoft for what western companies do all by themselves. Even ten years ago, gaps between different regions for western game releases weren't that big. And X360's japanese developed titles have exactly same localization times as other consoles games had before.

Western corps on a MS platfrom yes , and MS takes the lead on this on its own console, Even most of the big Japanese games have a short wait untill they come over here . Unlike the way SONY and Nintendo still treat us .

MS have done wonders for the Pal market and 16.9 gaming , more so than any other corp , for that they deserver all the credit they get. Just a shame they can't market thier consoles to sve thier lives Thats one ara Nintendo Europe kick all the others into touch
