New channel has come out for japanese Wii's, Everyone's Nintendo Channel.

Download service for videos and DS demo's.

Lets you rate the content as well.

To get the DS downloads click the blue button and select the DS option.
Either have your DS on and sitting on the 'DS download play' screen or do that once you've selected the thing to download (seems to be faster this way).

Tried all of the DS demos and pretty much all of them are of the various training games. Also a tamagotchi one, a book one it seemed, a quiz one and one just hung at a warning screen.

I just wish there an interesting DS demo on there to try.
All there is is braining, sight and english training. not exactly just those but nothing exciting.

You can also download that pokemon diamond/pearl patch if you went through the "wall of no return" in the game.

Ahh, I thought that icon was a pokeball. Another problem solved! Now we just need to sort out the crappy international delivery systems this time of year.

I'll be happier with it when they add the full functions of the store stand machines - namely the wifi capability.

Seems like it has potential, but I tried to watch a couple of videos unsuccessfully.. are they supposed to stream? Only the main intro one has played properly for me, another only loaded the first 7 seconds, then the next I waited about 3 minutes before it popped up an error and sent me back to the Wii menu.. reloaded the channel and tried again and it got 9 seconds in. A search bar would be good as well.

Yup. According to various reports, it works very well if you are in Japan. Outside japan, not so well. US and EUR versions will, naturally, connect to local server, which results in far stabler / faster connection.

Streams fine for me & im in the uk using a crappy nintendo usb wifi dongle.

I hope they fully intergrate it with the wifi download stations they have in shops in japan as theres been some nice downloadable content for ds games in the past that required you to be phisically in japan to get the data, oideyo doubutsu no mori, ouendan 2, shaberu oriyouri navi ect...

Nintendo will update the Ds download to become a proper station, they are just ironing out a few bugs before they can do that.

It;s oretty well done for a channel ,on;y a few days old.

I'd rather have 60Hz VC games than a demo station to download stuff to my DS. But it's still welcome.
