Nice selection, but didn't the last one (Winter Sports 2008) just came out on Friday?

I haven't read a single word nor seen any screens, how does it compare to Wii Sports?

It's an awersome thread because a bloke is asking what games are good for the Wii?

      You're easily pleased!

Well if he isn't easily please then I certainly am Wools, as through my awesome thread I was able to get an idea of what people thought to be must haves for the Wii.
It seems I wasn?t the only one who wanted to know this or wanted the opinion of their favourite forumites either.

        Job done.

        Thanks everyone

Yes. I saw it in Gamestatio nand thought "Hmmm... if that works it could be fun." And by god it does work For something that's not been shouted from the rooftops about, it's a very accomplished game. There's a career mode which I have started. First season was 7 events, next one is 15 and I'm in tier 4, so I presume I've got to get to tier 1. According to the manual, you only go up a tier if you win the 15 event competition. Fail that and you have to do the 7 event and 15 event comps again. Each sport looks to have 100 experience points to get, which will take a while.

There's also competition mode and virtual competition mode. Virtual competition mode lets you choose which ports you want in a competition. Competition mode is fixed. There's also a single event mode.

On to challenge mode. This is simple stuff like "do a perfect start on cross country skiing," "land a stone in the centre" in curling or "land a ski jump." There's loads in this mode so they'll get tougher. Not that getting a stone to land in the middle circle in curling is easy

There is also 4 player multiplayer but no online.

It's a very nicely done game. I don't think I've noticed any slowdown despite some nice graphics. Some of the player models look a bit odd though. The character's head changes for whatever nationality you choose, so they just have the same body and put a different head on depending on your selection - you can see the join on some of them.

The commentary is excellent though. REALLY well done.

Overall, it's a very good game and I can't believe nothing has been mentioned about it anywhere on the internet.

Wii Sports comparisons will always be made with sports games but I think this is as close as any has come so far. The controls do work and are different enogh across most events to keep things interesting.

            480p too

One year or so on, Galaxy aside, I still rate Eledees as the best Wii title.

Mario Galaxy, Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Corruption and Excite Truck are all worth getting. Probably Geometry Wars Galaxies too - but still waiting for mine to arrive.
