Which one has the most proper heavy metal in it, then? I'm thinking the 80s one is sounding preeeety good.

Just out of interest.. had anyone tried the ps2 vesion of GH3? I'd like to know how well it plays with the old style SG's of 1 and 2 and if it supports 16:9..

Cos the 360 keeps gettin hogged in here and I could get some extra play-time in on my ps2!

I love the wireless guitar, but I last night I found that the neck occasionally slides away from the base slightly. When this happens, sometimes the green button doesn't work .

I much prefer the songs in GH2 to 3. At first I thought the songs in GH3 were going to be excellent including some really decent songs and not just metal crap for a change. Unfortunately aside from a few greats ike Sonic Youth, the Stones and Dead Kennedys that come fairly early on, a lot of the decent songs are not in the normal single player game. The last two stages of this are mostly complete guitar wank-toss like Number of the Beast and Devil Goes Down to Georgia, which is a terrible ending compared with Freebird.

The Dragonforce song that rolls in the credits is sooo bad it's hilarious. I can appreciate it has a dual guitar solo and it's not to be taken too seriously (I hope), but honestly, what a crock of ****.

I was thinking of going for the PS2 version too b4 I bought the 360 version, but after reading some reviews I found that some people were having problems with its wireless axe i.e. the fret buttons didnt always register.
          Still a good price @ ?39.99 @ HMV.

I have it on PS2 and it's good, no issues playing it like. Dunno about widescreen mode as it's on a regular TV but I can check. I still recommend GH2 over 3 though.

Cheap on PC too (PS2 price with controller), might be worth a shot if you really want 3.

Nice. Well I found it (solus) on play.com for 17 quid. I would be using my old guitar hero 1 guitars so that shoulsn't be a problem. Has anyone tried ot with the old guitars?

To be totally honest, I think the songs in GH1 are by far the best. Not that the ones in GH2 are bad, but the first game is just that bit better. They didn't release it for the 360, did they? A bit of a shame...
