Must have last gen Xbox games for a 360 owner?

Hi, I have just completed Half Life 2, plus Ep One, Ep Two & Portal, The Orange Box is probably the single best buy I have ever made and I am now hankering for something new to get my teeth into.

I know there are loads of AAA 360 titles out there at the moment but I have been made to promise not to buy any by the girlfriend "just incase santa gets you some"

So, until Christmas morning comes, I need something to tide me over and was thinking of picking up an old last gen Xbox game on the cheap from Gamestation or somewhere...not sure what though, I want something different, puzzley but shooty, sort of Tomb Raidery & Residenty?

I have Ninja Gaiden Black already but that sort of game...

    Thanks

"Prince Of Persia: Sands of Time" is kinda Tomb Raidery, and a darn good game ... no idea about 360 compatibility, but you can probably look it up.

Maybe not exactly what your after but PSI ops is very good. Not overly puzzly but shooty in places!

Thanks for those, are there any point and click games, I could easily sit back for a few days and leave all the run & gunning until I get Halo 3...what about Myst, was that ever released on the original Xbox?

          Give Hitman 360 a try.

I think there was a myst out, but not 100% on that. There was a CSI game too that I think was point and click.

If you want something Tomb Raider / Resi-esque I recommend Legacy of Kain: Defiance. It's very similar to God of War (but predates it) in that it mixes Tomb Raider style exploration and puzzles with Devil May Cry Lite combat. The story is very involved however and if you haven't played the two Soul Reaver games it probably won't make much sense (it's all about time paradoxes, free will vs determinism, the possibility of salvation and lots of other light bedtime book stuff )

A nice thread to find. I was thinking the same thing recently. I just got Shenmue II in the post (unrelated to the replay thread) and that's ment to be great.

                      oops, doh!

In that case I'd recommend Outrun.

Never played Shenmue 2, a fairly mixed review on this very site, I could be persuaded if I see it cheap enough somewhere, the first one was magnificent wasn't it.

CSI...hmmm, I prefer things that are more fantasy based involving either aliens, ghosts & zombies as aposed to cops and criminal stuff like Grand Theft Auto, never got into that series.

I loved Portal, I found myself staring at a static screen sometimes trying to methodically solve the puzzles. That's why I thought Myst, something that requires a bit of problem solving and thinking without relying on a gung ho, blast eveything approach.

                        The search continues...

If you enjoyed Shenmue, you will doubtless enojoy Shenmue 2. The scale dwarves the first one.

I'd also recommend Psychonauts as well as KOTOR 1. Hugely enjoyable and a good challenge. Neither are really puzzly or shooty, but both are up there with the best of the last generation.
