    DOAXBV. Beach. Choons. Sunsets.

Madden 2003. So satisfying to post that 50 yrd touchdown.

Saying that I prefer andrenalin pumping games, not relaxing at the time but the result is similar. Unless you can't nail that one perfect lap.........up.........all........night.

      Animal Crossing.

I've found it to be a seriously efficient hangover cure. Just pop that in on a Sunday morning, and start off with a few solitary tasks like weeding & fishing. As the hangover wanes you feel ready to interact with people a little - maybe buy a few turnips off Joan, or visit the cop-shop for some lost & found. Once you're running errands for the neighbours, writing letters & buying rubbish from Nook, you know it's time to switch off and face the real world again.

Or make a cup of tea, bacon sarnie, and have a blast on something else.

My first choice would be Animal Crossing which I have seriously neglected, then Skating Board in Wario Ware it gets hypnotic.

Also in regards to fantavision they released another version with a VS mode in Japan, I saw it at my local Japanese supermarket bookstore.

OMG... How come no one has mentioned Densha De Go yet?

Jet De Go was really relaxing too on the Jap PSX.

My personal favourite is Real Train Simulator: Yamanote Line on the PS2.

Pure relaxing bliss is this game.

                Doshin The Giant
                Animal Crossing

These 2 seem to be very laid back and relaxed the whole time. I give Doshin special pludits as someone said earlier - Good water effects can make a game relaxing.

Other games have relexing sections but aren't releaxing the entire game (some of the Islands/villages in Zelda being examples).

Exactly - or playing the Ocarina at either Dusk or Dawn on Lon Lon Ranch.

Also very true, the satisfaction of boosting straight towards the finish line when you're a whole second or more ahead of the Staff Ghost is a feeling that is unrivalled. It lasts for days too, especially when you keep watching the replay.

Most relaxing game moment then would be when the girl at the lon lon ranch (forget her name) is singing Epona's Song with the moonlight glowing down.

Yeah, at the beginning of the game at the castle entrance when you have to go and wake her dad up. Classic memories.

My most relaxing game at the moment is Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. Just sitting back watching my theme park blossom while just adding the odd new attraction here and there. I love it almost as much as I loved Settlers 2. Now there was a relaxing game so much so it put me to sleep..... more often than not.

                              Shadow of Memories.

I remember curling up on the couch late at night, with a nice cup of hot chocolate, and settling down to play this game.
It was pretty much like watching a movie, only with some simple puzzles thrown in to make sure you were still paying attention.
I loved the plot, and also the way you could change your approach to playing the game once you'd gone through it the first time (and therefore knew what was going to happen in the future/past).

Ahh, if only a sequal were in the works..........
