    Unique games!

Right, ever since i was little i liked games that had weird graphical styles and original concepts or gameplay. But theres so many unique games that never reach our shores

Anyway, i want this topic to be the place to show titles you think are unique in any sort of way imaginable, with some info and maybe pictures.

    I'll start off -:

    Vib Ribbon for the Playstation.
Vib-Ribbon is a game for Sony PlayStation. Developed by Masaya Matsuura (the former leader of the Japanese "Hyper Pop Unit" PSY S) and his NanaOn-Sha company, and released in 1999, the game was sold in Japan and Europe. Vib-Ribbon is a rhythm video game in the style of PaRappa the Rapper and Amplitude. The game was unique in that the software loaded into RAM, letting the player use any music CD to play against -- the game could generate a unique level from any track. The graphics for Vib-Ribbon are simple, consisting of straight, white vector lines forming crude, angular drawings of the level and the character, a female rabbit named Vibri.
The object of the game is to guide Vibri along a ribbon filled with obstacles corresponding to the song being played. Pressing the correct buttons at the right time will let Vibri pass unscathed. Failing to do so will make Vibri degenerate from a rabbit into a frog, then a worm, and finally perishing for good. If enough obstacles are navigated successfully, Vibri's form is "promoted" to that of fairy princess. The game's score is represented by a series of symbols that accumulate as the game level progresses. A numerical score is generated at the end of the song. Depending on the score obtained, Vibri will sing a congratulatory song that gets longer with higher scores.
As with many CD-based games, most of the in-game music is included on the game CD as standard Red Book audio format tracks, including six songs by Japanese group Laugh And Peace (commonly incorrectly called Laugh And Beats or Love And Peace).
There was a semi-sequel titled Mojib-Ribbon which followed a similar concept but using text files to create kanji based rhythm gameplay.
Furthermore, there was also another sequel titled Vib-Ripple which was more similar to Vib-Ribbon but instead used digital images loaded into the game for the character to bounce from.

    Rhythm Tengoku For GBA

Rhythm Tengoku's quirky visual style and gameplay style is similar to the WarioWare series'. Each level requires the player perform certain actions, following along with the rhythm and creating a beat to go along with it, such as creating a beat by hitting numerous baseballs as they pass in front of you. If you do not hit it in beat, you will either get a "half hit" or miss altogether. Such misses are counted and used to determine a simple pass-or-fail score. The many other mini games involve similar activities that require the player to rely on the rhythm in the background music for timing.

The games are divided into separate stages. Initially, only the first game in Stage 1 is available. The player can achieve three basic rankings on completing a game: Try Again, Average or High Level. If you get Average or High Level on a level, you will unlock another level. There are six levels in each stage, the sixth level being a mix of the other five levels. There are eight stages in the game, 48 levels in total.

A Japan-only arcade version has been created and can be currently found (as of late 2007) in Japanese arcades. It was developed by both Nintendo and Sega and includes a two-player mode.[1] The format of the game requires the player to play through one set of the player's choice of minigames, culminating with challenge of that stage's remix mode. One credit allows the player to play two individual minigames, represented by two heart icons in the lower left corner of the screen. Achieving a "high level" performance on any one game earns the player an additional "heart", allowing the player to continue playing without inserting more credits.

It is possible to play an entire set of minigames and the associated remix game on one credit, if enough high level rankings are earned. Earning a regular or failing grade will remove a heart icon, forcing the player to insert more coins when both hearts have been depleted. A player can continue as much as he or she wishes by adding more credits. The games themselves are exactly the same as in the GBA version of the game, with the exception of "tempo up" mode, where the games are identical, but played at twice the regular speed. However, only the first set of games are available to play in this mode.

Kuri Kuri Mix / Cookie & Cream PS2

Puzzle/Platform game where you control 2 characters independently using the seperate control sticks. Basic movement, jump and action commands are required to navigate the traps and obsticles. Often team work is required to beat the levels.
