PS3 Network and buying from the US store

    Hiya Gang,

Now I ahve just acquired a 60gb US PS3 and would like to download content from the US store. Now I know there is a gigantic thread regarding this but as I go through the vast amount of pages I get confused as many posts seem to add contradictory information.

I would simply like to know the following:

1.) Is there a way now for a NEW user to register on the US store, using a US/Canadian address?

2.) Do you need to use a Mastercard or Visa?

3.) Do those top up style credit cards work?

4.) Bottom line can it still be done after reprts Sony have changed servers and pre-requisite information.

    Thanks for ANY help.

    Cheers,

    emissary.

It can indeed be done. This post by Dazzyman is where you'll want to start - I believe this is guaranteed to work (I use Wirecard, but apparently that's not a valid method for new people).

You can create a US account, but sadly you can't buy stuff from the US Store if you don't have a US Credit Card . It was working flawlessly before they changed some stuff .
