Tomb Raider Anniversary...

I noticed this on XBL today and was gonna download it, but then I read the description....

WHY exactly does this require you to have a copy off tomb raider legend when you can buy it as a stand alone game in the shops?. Its about ?20 too so not like youre getting it cheaply or anything if you own Tomb Raider legend.

At first I thought this being on XBL seemed like a good thing now I just realise its a way of getting people to buy both tomb raider games.

It does actually use the core system and engine files off the Tomb Raider Legends disc.

But it is actually true that MS won't put full (non-XBLA) games on the marketplace, only game addons. They're too afraid of pissing off retail, basically.

only 250 points worth of achievements too ... it's a dumb idea.

Also, if I can be slightly petty for a moment, it means that the people who like to have "complete" scores on their gamercard (eg, me) are suddenly at 1000/1250 for no good reason.

Well then you get more points!! You can get the 250 from downloading it, then buy the retail copy and get another 1000! :P

(But probably not what you want to do)

Lol I bought this off the marketplace without noticing you need the Legends disc.
