Your gaming New Year's resolutions

I've only got two really:

1. Stop buying FPS's regardless of how pretty they are - you don't enjoy them,
2. Wait until games are out and people are playing them before listening to hype.

My resolution will be to buy far less games and concentrate on the ones I enjoy and try and complete them 100%

I shall also endeavor to resist buying a PS3 later in the year when the price inevitably drops again. Must be strong!!

Yeah the same as me i have loads of games that have been played once or not at all. Most of them are on Wii. I should get round to Umbrella Chronicles and Mario Galaxy before i buy myself a Japanese Wii for Smash Brothers in a couple of weeks.

Get my collection going as I only have 18 360 games (had 4 games for 12 months then started buying some haha)

complete >50 games in 2008.

Get friends to try out a 'hidden gem' game (Ie PN03, psychonaughts etc)

That has got to be the best name for a game ever.

I only have the wii now so in 08 I will only buy No More Heroes and Mario Kart and finish Galaxy,Zelda,Metroid,RE4 and RE:UC .

Perhaps get a PS3 at the end of the year if they come down to ?200 .

I'd say mine should be to finish the games I buy. But I know that won't happen.

2007 has been a good year for gaminng for me. I've shown restraint in both purchases and looking at previews, making games more fresh when I first put them in. I actually made a new year resolution that worked. I hope to continue this behaviour into 2008.

For 2008 I need to find a better job than working in a video game store. I've been there to long. I need to spend less time playing games to focus on my other pursuits, but make more of the time I spend. 2008 is the year I need to finish Half Life 2 and Oblivion (and in doing so get a new PC). My main focus for next year though is not video game related though.

To actually play all the way through and enjoy one of my quality RPG-ish games (Shin Megami Tensei, Disgaea, Vandal Hearts) and actually *truly enjoy and savour* the experience, rather than fritter my gaming time - and there's not much of it - away on short blasts through Vice City (Mk.2) while my girlfriend's asleep or has gone out for the day. ****ers, I've only clocked two games this year - King Kong on XBox and Legend Of Legaia on PS1 (and that was fairly meh...) !
