Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) - 1/1/08
Got all 120 stars. Easily game of last year, quite possibly best game ever. Just had a constant smile on my face whilst playing due to the sheer variety and magic in every single stage.

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360) - 20/1/08
Started on Veteran from the off which may have been a mistake as it truly exposed the flaws in the AI, but perservered through.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Mile High achievement as the sense of urgency and progress in that small epilogue was very tangible.

Enchanted Arms (360) - 11/2/08
Finally got back round to playing and finishing this after leaving it dormant halfway through. Overall a poor RPG in terms of story, translation, combat mechanics and only found myself finishing it for those damn achievement points. Special note to the ridiculous difficulty spike during the last (seven) battles!

N+ (360 XBLA) - 18/3/08
Some extremely frustrating levels in single player mode but the game kept pulling me back in again and again until completion. Well worth the 800 points it cost and looking forward to the map packs!

Bully: Scholarship Edition (360) - 27/3/08
I never played the PS2 original so was looking forward to this and have not been disappointed. The scope of the game, the variety and the well thought-out achievements make this a joy to play. Have also been lucky as experienced no glitches during my 17 hour romp to 100%, even before the patch.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village (DS) - 29/3/08
Having bought a DS only a week ago, I'm been enthralled at the simplicity and beauty of this game. Some vicious puzzle designs but have now completed every puzzle in the game. Really looking forward to the sequel although wondering how they will explain the puzzles the second time around.

Assault Heros (360 XBLA) - 5/4/08
Picked this up due to the price cut and favourable opinions on here. Great game with some (non-crucial) flaws. Every object in the cutscenes seemed to lack weight and momentum resulting in stilted animation, yet this was not the case in-game. Also highlighted how achievements have changed my gaming habits as I will never play this on hard now that I have all the achievements.

I've had this for over a year but had only ever watched my housemate play it briefly. Decided to investigate and have found myself ploughing 20+ hours into it so far. Its engrossing but still has game design flaws which mean I am not in as much love as everyone in the massive thread on here is.

Guitar Hero 2/3 (360)
This has been in progress since the summer 07 but I can feel myself getting better over time. Need to finish Expert and 5* Hard on both games.

Abit of a marmite game and I seem to have unfortunately fallen on the hater side for now. Not amazing graphics, cheating AI, lack of feeling of weight and momentum result in a thus far tedious racer.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)
Started off on Hard from the off and just killed the first boss but not really been fully engaged yet. The graphics are fuzzy, art direction is thus far uninspired and the advanced controls fiddly. Plan to keep with it though.
