February: Master system added! Custom Robo v2!

    Yep.

Take a look. Hokuto no ken (fist of the north star) has also been announced.

Custom Robo v2 is out in February which I am SO happy about! The CR series is too overlooked in my opinion.

If I'm honest, I'm pretty indifferent about Master System games coming to the VC - I'm neither excited nor disappointed.

Apart from a few gems, a lot of SMS games are below-par 8-bit conversions of popular Sega coin-ops and/or MD/Genesis titles - the reason for that being the fact that Nintendo had most of the major softcos tied to NES-exclusive deals back in the 1980's.

Hmm.. If they release Wonderboy III then I might have to make an excuse to get a Wii..

The superior PC Engine version has been available for some time now. It's called Adventure Land or something but it's exactly the same game.

Also has the best MS cover.

MS on VC is great news. The MS was much underrated. How about games like:

                Pacmania,
Castle Of Illusion (Better than the MD version),
Populous (best version of the game period),
                The Ninja,
                Powerstrike,
Bubble Bobble (with 100 extra levels),
                R-Type,
                Wonderboy in Monsterland (utter classic).

I think there are enough versions of R-type on the VC already.

Good news if it means Shinobi.

I know they aren't deemed as classics, but I can't wait for Alex Kidd, Enduro-Racer and Transbot.

Enduro Racer was superb, I love the Master System and its a very undervalued system.

The only games I remember enjoying on the MS was this in-house Commando clone called Secret Commando (which was later re-released as a Rambo license with just a new title screen - what a wheeze!) and the Moonwalker game, which had awesome music. I can't see that coming out any time soon though

I can't see it adding much value to the VC seeing as most MS games were - let's be honest - second-rate clones of arcade or NES games.

                              Fantasy Zone II

And the Wonderboy titles obviously. I was always a fan of Action Fighter too. Sadly enough I still remember the cheat codes for both that and Wonderboy 3.

I wonder if they'll put Snail Maze in there, I still remember the music to it
