I have the JPN version. 99% English text. I just fired it up, but even after 1 stage I've gathered that it outshines the 2 PSP games. Stylus control is sublime.

I didn't know there was one. I have the original PSP version and, while I like the idea, I found the controls slow and needlessly awkward. I never checked out the sequel to see if that was improved. How's the control on the DS version?

You touch Mr. Esc, then you touch where you want him to go from what I can gather. You can select between run or walk. I've literally had it on for 5 minutes...

demo gives a good idea of the controls. Seems ok. looks like the point and click controls might remove the annoying run into fire's etc problems i had with the PSP version

That's what I think personally. Point and click makes it so much better than teh most excellent PSP titles. It has online too, although I'm yet to see what you can do with it.

Aha. Mr. Esc will follow the cursor, in the same way that Link does in DS Zelda. The control is actually even more betterer than I first thought.

10 points J0e for the use of the word "betterer" on the forums

Yeah, I'm going to have to get this. I've always been tempted by the PSP version (as a. It looks like my type of game and b. It's ALWAYS cheap.) I've never been tempted to buy a PSP, however, and this looks made for the stylus.

The DS was made for this game. Exit and it's sequal are my favourite PSP games, but this is amazing. JPN is totally import-friendly too

I have the Live Arcade version. Does the DS one have different levels or just controls?

I've completed about half of the levels.. it's not bad and I like that you have the whole map on show rather than having to work it out, but I prefer the PSP controls - I find the touchscreen a bit hit-and-miss, although it solves making mis-timed running jumps that some people experienced. Also the game plays slightly different (for the worse imho) - eg. movement isn't as responsive, and I particularly don't like that the characters stop what they're doing if you select them again after you have given them one instruction and want to make a change/extend the action.. something I find quite necessary as they are usually too stupid to do simple things like make their way down stairs correctly.

In addition to that, the animation looks a bit rubbish and it appears there's no extra downloadable levels so I'd personally still recommend the PSP version over this if that option is available to you.
