I love Creep, but I'm not sure I can think of a less appropriate song for karaoke.

Creep is a good song for karaoke actually. I always had in my head "appropriate" songs for karaoke but, when you go to karaoke places in Japan, they have everything* and so I have seen "inappropriate" songs done many times. Depends on how you feel and how you do it. If you step away from the drunken songs template, you will find that lots of songs are just enjoyable to sing. Paranoid android is actually great fun although you'd never guess it. Born Slippy is also great fun but not what you would expect.



* maybe not quite but tens of thousands of non-japanese songs is not uncommon
