Are these PS2 games worth playing offline? Is there a single player game that's worth playing? I understand that even online they weren't much to shout about. As far as i know there was never any online play in PALand anyway? Your thoughts/Experiences would be appreciated.

I've played the US and UK versions offline (US online as well obviously) and I found the game to be quite good, although a lot is lost by not playing online. Plus, without the hard drive, the loading times are terrible on the UK version!! It takes about 10 seconds to load going through a door and it's anoying when you have to go back to save someone.
I feel this is a lot like Phantasy Star, you do get some enjoyment, but for the full extent, it's a game that has got to be played online. (Although the servers have been closed) -

I am a huge Resi fan but they aren't great.
The first one I enjoyed much more than the second one which is just frustrating.
If you are a die hard Resi fan they are worth picking up just to see other parts of Raccoon City.Comment
