cant choose on a PS3 deal....

Hi all, I am planning on ordering a PAL PS3 deal this week for the arrival of GT5:P abd Everybodys Golf 5 on Friday, but I have ran into a small problem....\

In PC World they sell a 40g PS3, Motorstorm, Resitance fall of Man and a EXTRA Controller all for ?299.

But....

On Play.com, i can get a 40g PS3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Drakes for ?299 posted.


which seem the better deal??

I like the idea of Drakes but also think that for ?299, the extra controller and 2 decent games is a good deal.

I just think the fact that the Duel Shock is coming out and the fact that Motorstorm and R:FOM are cheap games to pick up now.

Go for the second one mate. They are both top games and single player based so you will only need one pad anyway. Also once you have finished them, if you want to, you can trade Uncharted and Ninja Gaiden in for decent prices still whereas Resistance and Motorstorm would get you hardly anything. Alternatively, you could wait til Friday and see if there are any decent bundles involving the GT5 Prologue PS3 pack.

I'd prolly go for the second option... like you say, the DS3 will be out soon, so I doubt you'd get much mileage out of that extra one in the first bundle. The second bundle also has some more interesting games, in my opinion

cheers for the help peeps. Im still undecided really, I am buyin GT5 and Everybodys Golf 5 (there the real reasons I want a PS3!).

I dont think that there will be a better deal than wahts on offer as reall, GT5:P is only £18 so I just add £18 to this lot....


Although, I would like the GT5:P PS3 pack.....

Go for the Curry's one. RFOM and MotorStorm are both excellent games, and you're getting an extra controller well.

They're also only ?20 a pop now new, whereas Drakes and Ninja Gaiden still tend to command top dollar. Personally I'd take the second option, and await the Dual Shock 3 for your second pad. I don't doubt there'll be similar offers involving the GT5:P bundle come friday though. HMV in particular have been great for bundles, they were doing a 40gig PS3 with 4 games (Uncharted, Resistance, Singstar + Mics and Motorstorm) and 2 Blu-ray movies for ?349 not so long back

My mate got that deal from Currys yesterday and was able to choose two titles - he wasn't restricted to the selection shown so I think MS and R:FOM are just examples of what you can get. Maybe give them a call and see what you can actually get

MotorStorm is the main reason why I bought a PS3. It's a stunning, fun game.

Uncharted is very nice looking; a good game.


It would be great if you could get MotorStorm and Uncharted together.

well, i completly lied re: my last post, I couldnt wait and on my lunch break went out and bought the PC World/Currys deal.

Proplem was, it was out of stock everywhere and ment a 1 hour round trip to a PC World that actually had it in stock! Well worth it though as I didnt want to wait. Played last nite and very happy, and watched a Blur Ray on it and it was such a leap from normal DVD's on the Xbox, crisp picture and sound!

Very happy, and a bargin at ?299.99


If you cant get the deal in the shops, I phoned Curys/PC World and they have lots still for home delivery.

i found the extra controller very handy because the lead they supply to charge it is about two millimeters long

I was sick of the thing dieing while I'm playing a game so i always leave one plugged in if you dont you have to play with your hands inside your entertainment center while kneeling on the floor

very uncomfy for an old git like me pins and needles set in seconds thanks to a child hood of sat in front of a nes waffle waffle bah..................
