1080 would be nice, as I never got round to playing it on my US N64 Waverace would also be great, with updated textures.

packaging an older game in with a new sequel to a franchise might not be such a great idea because it lessens the impact of the new game..

perhaps something like Mario 64 free with a christmas release like 1080 Avalanche or Pikmin 2, to help sway peoples buying decisions, get the game extra attention and help get people excited about mario prior to the release of mario 128?

I think the videos with zelda were a great idea, although they couldve done with being more prominent..

Nintendo should give away the bonus disks as part of the VIP points program. Buy a couple of games and get enough points for Mario 64/1080 or whatever takes your fancy.

The mario 64... I started a thread about this a while ago. I'd
personally go to a shop and buy m64, for the gc even tho I have the N64 cart. If they increased the polygon count etc...

I think m64 with updated graphix would be great...
If the next gba is powerful enough (and considering Nintendo's recent gba release history) Mario64 will probably be its launch title.

Think you missed my point there slightly. Waverace Bluestorm IS (almost) a hires version of the original. Nintendo are churning out updates of original games left right and centre. e.g. Fzero, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Party. Check out the GBA. Where's the new stuff? Where's the innovation? Where's the Fzero Lan linkup?

Sorry. Don't think I was clear in the last post. When I said "where's the new stuff?" I meant where are the new ideas to invigorate the updates, rather than where are the completely new games.

              Um. Veering wildly OT

Bonus disc straight ports for me:
              Blast Corps
Perfect Dark (decent framerate would work wonders).

Medievil, the original on a bonus disc If ever a new one gets made. ok the medievil games werent excellent by any stretch of the imagination. However my personal memories of the game and events that happened around me at the time mean that game has a certain significance for me. Even if the bonus disc only appeals to me Sony should do it anyway

I think just about all the combinations of bonus disks I'd like to see have already been mentioned here - I think Perfect Dark in high rez and a tarted up frame-rate would be my favourite, but does anyone else think that despite the success of the Zelda pre-order campaign, we're probably not going to see any more N64 games given away for free?

I was thinking that as Nintendo must have the successor to the GBA underway, would the N64 library become what the SNES library is to the GBA? It wouldn't make sense for them to give away products they could sell again - then again the architecture of the new handheld could be so different to the N64 that it wouldn't make sense I suppose.

Virtua Fighter Collection with Evo, heck if I don't play it I could at least say I have them all.

Soul Calibur with Soul Calibur 2, why not, of course then we'd realize which game was better.

How about GBA downloads of the original Mario Bros for NES with Mario 128.

Or with Ninty's biggest release how about a bonus disc of NES classics so I can finally play punch out on my cube.

And that's a good point. Namco should try to avoid such a direct comparison: the bonus disc would be more cherished than the main title.

you all should be ashamed for not mentioning house of the dead 1, it was almost made for the dc version...the bosses and some areas are in the dcs attract mode. heres hoping for xbox nebula model 2. the saturn game is frankly blasphemous.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is 'dcs' attract mode?

I presume he means Dreamcast's Attract Mode.

There was a short video on HOTD2 detailing the events of the first game but I don't think any modelling or programming had been done to include the original game in the DC conversion.

That's a shame, as I have a soft spot for HotD 1. What was the Saturn version like?

if u like horrendous clipping, low frame rates and loading mid level, then it's fantastic
