    no rumble for N64 games?

i've learned that it's not even possible while using a standard GC controller. how pathetic is this? i was really looking forward to download Waverace 64, Sin & Punishment and Super Mario 64 but i guess i better get my N64 back into my setup. is this ever likely to change?

Nope. Rumble isn't there because Classic Controller doesn't have one, and the idea isn't to put Classic Controller buyers into different category than those that have controller that isn't even manufactured anymore.

Setting up your N64 won't help unless its Japanese and you have the re-released "Shindou" editions of these games because all other versions don't have any rumble functionality.

Poor show about games that are actually supposed to have rumble features, not having any though. I didn't know that. I was tempted to download StarFox 64 the last time I bought some points and now I'm glad I didn't.

Its actually extremely difficult to include rumble into Nintedno 64 Vc games, and would require a rewriting of the entire code of the game, something that would just be silly for nintendo to invest time into, considering the amount of time it actually takes to port the game to Vc anyways.

We will probably see it when they release a special edition Nintedno 64 controller for the console similar to the super famciom one that's just been released, as the code is still there, it's just nintedno 64 rumble code works in a strange way without the code being changed. It actually sends a message to the nintendo 64 controller pins expansion slot telling the shindou pack when to rumble, as the pads never had built in rumble as we all know, and this is the reason why there is no rumble without a nintendo 64 pad. I am certain Nintedno will fix the problem at some stage and as i said, the games with rumble will stilll contain the original shindou code in them, just in the way it was written for the nintendo 64.

I either think it will come as a special edition Nintendo 64 pad, which is requested often, or an adaptor for the classic controller, or a new classic controller. The adaptor for the classic controller would slot onto the clip section at the back, and then use another adaptor to slot into the wiimote sort of like a passthrough before you put in the claassic pad intot he pass through.=, hazarding a guess.

The most likely workaround thoughm, will be the n64 pad, and or new classic controller. Remember too, Nintedno 64 emulation is proving really tricky still for Nintendo on the wii and it's still in it's infancy, so give them a break and some time. Also they are wary of releasing too many n64 titles at the moment due to the storage limitations, which is a problem that is more than likely soon to be rectified, through an add on device.

Adding rumble to new games would be hard, but we were talking about games that already supported rumble. This would be easy, especially because Zelda Collector edition's N64-emulator did support rumble.
