    Point and Click suggestions

I'm in the mood for some point and click games at the moment and need some help with some more to try and get hold of. Recently finished the longest journey and have just started on Dreamfall

I've played all the Monkey Island games , and Sam and Max/Day of the tentacle.

I've got Full Throttle sitting here waiting, I'm also keeping my eye out for the Neverhood.
There is also another game that bugging me, I can't remember what it was called, it was animated/live action, it had a guy with a little animated sidekick in an animated world, kind like roger rabbit. It had a title that I seem to recall being a world for Zany, but I can't remember it for the life of me.

Need to play the Discworld games too.

Any others I've missed, which I'm sure I have.

Broken Sword 1 & 2? (You must have played those already though, surely?).

Yeah love those too shame about the 3rd one!
I'm not too keen on having to use the keyboard to move around so I'd rather avoid those ones , yes even Grim Fandando.
I was a little dissapointed when I realised Dreamfall was like that

Although Dreamfall isn't point and click, definitely stick with it - it gets really good! (Plus you get to see plenty of areas and characters from the previous game later on).

Can't think of any other point and click games at the moment - Syberia series? (not sure if it is or not though, yet to play it). Check out http://www.theadventurecompanygames.com/, perhaps you'll find something there.

The two Lucasarts Indiana Jones ones are great, except I really don't like the fighting. But I reckon you'd enjoy them. But with Full Throttle and the Discworld ones, you're probably well covered.

Be warned, for the first discworld the puzzles are incredibly difficult (and obscure). Eases up in the second though

Since you've played Monkey Island, why not go for Grim Fandango? Just picked that one up myself and am enjoying it muchly!

Yes - Discworld 1 is an absolute nightmare, and it also features an horrendous bug which prevents you from completing the game (didn't affect all version, IIRC). No.2 was, indeed, a piece of proverbial piss. They are both very funny.

I played Beneath A Steel Sky last year and really enjoyed it. It is also relatively short - making it more digestible. Both that and Lure of the Temptress (as featured in the latest EDGE) are available to download for free, too.

I also played Indy and the Fate of Atlantis and Loom in the past year. Both were good fun, although Loom was a little formulaic.

                What about Simon the Sorcerer?

Go with what Stormtec said. The best point and click game ever invented. It hits all the right notes and it homages Casablanca too. Very funny and emotional at the same time. No one can't like Manny Calavera, one of the greatest characters to ever feature in a videogame, Glotis is also brilliant.

The Blade Runner adventure game on PC is awesome if you can find a copy of that. I don't *recall* having to move around, I think it was all point-and-click, but I could be wrong. There's a thread about it in the retro forum from not so long ago.

Yeah I played Beneath a Steel Sky, which was very good.
I also played Snatcher a few years back, looking forwards to the Policenauts translation

Toonstruck! That was the one I was thinking of.

Yep, was going to suggest toonstruck myself by the way you said "Zany" reminds me of a big warner bros/tiny toons episode albeit a darker one with a live action element.

Simon the Sorceror 1 + 2 as mentioned are both class - Chris Barrie voices the character tremendously well in the first game. He's missing in the second unfortunately but Brian Bowles (lately of Dragon Quest on the PS2 and hopefully Simon 4) is a more than worthy replacement. Just avoid the 3rd part, should never have been made...

Also recently finished Flight of the Amazon Queen which is very good - if you own a downgraded PSP with a copy of SCUMMVM then make sure you grab the shareware files for the game from SVM website.

Still own the original release of that. It was bloody hilarious and features Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). Good luck trying to get it working though, could never get it to work on dosbox.

Blade Runner is really good, im glad someone mentioned that. Its really hard though and it has aload of different endings. You can probably download it for free now as i think its abandonware and never got any re-releases. Its been out of print for nearly a decade, shame really.
