I'm bad at rhythm games as well. Although I have to say, its one of the few genre's that I can't really appreciate. Quite liked Space Chanel 5, Ouenben and Elite Beat Agents, but only for the humour - they were dull to play.

I like 2D fighters, although i've never gotten great at any. I'm the same with shooters; I'll play a lot, but never take the time to really master any.

I barely made it through DMC 3 on hard, but loved it. Could never do the hardest settings on any of the DMC games though. I even found God of War punishing on the harder difficulty settings. I don't think I have the reflexes for these games!

I'm rubbish at scrolling shooters but still love them... but I think that is somthing any old average gamer could say.

I'm rubbish at sensible soccer but love that too...

I'm also rubbish at point and click adventures but cant help but find the good ones hilairous so love them too.

The FPS genre collectively laughs in my face on a regular basis. I don't know what it is - perhaps having been raised on 2D games, FPS games are a bit too 'analogue' for my creaky old brain to come to terms with -but I don't think I could possibly be any worse at them. I don't even try and play them online any more. No point. Within 10 seconds of moving, I'm dead every time.

Took a friend and I about 20 hours in one sitting to beat Ghosts and goblins on the nes. I imagine certain gamers could piss through it.

Most cave shooters apart from Dondonpachi Daioujou as I've invested loads of time into that back then.

I'm rubbish at FPS games on-line too..i knew i wouldn't be brilliant from the off..but they're fun all the same.

                  Great thread.

Pretty much any Giant Stompy Mech Game. Iron Soldier, Gungriffon, anything like that.

Love 'em. Could spend hours walking into buildings and smooshing things underfoot. Have never finished one.

Anything in the driving genre really, I love the sensation of speed so much I generally forget the slowing down part.

Pretty much all on the rail shooters - im terrible at them but I do love them
Winning Eleven - Alright I dont love football games, but this is such a well designed franchise that I have dipped my toes in on more than one occasion. Great feel to the game espically the japanese commentary - but I suck so bad at it, I feel like I have too left feet on my hands =P

Any shooters that require you having to do combos for score when theres about 70 million bullets on screen to dodge.

Also, Guitar Hero 3 on hard...............How hard is this game, you need the concentration levels of a jedi to get through some songs without cocking up. I thought i was doing ok until i got to hard..i still keep playing though

More depressing still is the youtube movies of some of the players on there. Insanely good.

I don't waste time doing anything I'm **** at. Getting beaten or looking like a c*nt on a game is never fun.

Sega's Initial D games. I'm pretty rubbish and yet I've put hours into both the PS2 and PSP versions. There's something great about dropping down a gear as you enter a tight corner, seeing the back of your car fly out, shaving off seconds off your laptime and all of it whilst listening to cheesy music.
