I used to live in Camberley and was a student in Guildford.
The owner of Kart Club has a fair collection on display.
Unfortunately, now the old owner and the three Tony's have left, as I think they couldn't compete with GAME opening up down the high street. On the last day before the main employee left, my bro' got a hug by him.
Anyway, someone else brought the shop and still call it Kart Club, but sadly they exist only on pre-owned games now. Good if you want something retro though.
not a bad shop, retro is obviously overpriced like most indy places. staff are friendly enough, and sometimes you'll see something cool in there.
They have JAMMA and neogeo stuff around the back, but aren't clued up on neogeo prices, when I asked to have a look, I got a reply "they are all a couple hundred pounds each" which was obviously way off for the titles listed
It's a bit dingy, but they have loads of stuff in there, and the atmosphere is quite friendly. I was just checking stuff out, so didn't buy anything, and wouldn't because I have far too much stuff anyway. They have a rather strange price for Taito Legends 2, preowned, on PS2 (£18.99, I think) but seem to price their preowned stuff on a higher than average/lower than average basis. What I did notice was a massive selection of unboxed GBC/GBA/N64/SNES/MD carts housed inside a glass display cabinet (bless). There was nothing special, tbh, but if I'd rummaged longer, I'm sure something pretty decent would've turned up. Not a great shop, but I'm glad it's there.
I didn't notice any imports but, as I was the only guy in the shop at the time, felt this strange pressure to buy something, and experienced this icky cross between social anxiety and peer pressure eating away at my soul, so I quickly fled.
