Chou Aniki (PS2) - any good?

The possible release on the VC of one version of this homoerotic shooter has piqued my interest in the PS2 version. I've read it's an acquired taste, and the graphics are ****; but who can resist a game with floating musclemen as outriders? Not me.

Has anyone played it?

I've got the JPN PS2 version and have resorted to asking in the retro section for a guide on how to play it-just can't figure what I'm supposed to be doing!
The graphics are ace and the enemies are mad as a lorry.
Certainly an acquired taste though,plus the mrs pulled a strange face at me when she looked at the box,but games like this will be soon consigned to the annals of videogame history which is enough reason to buy it!!

I got a sealed version for 17 squids from ebay.

The cheapest I've seen is around that, but not sealed, and not in great condition - I think you nabbed a bargain there.

I have this although ive only played it for 10mins. I think it was made by Psikyo? So its pretty much like all their other shooters.

The PCE version is, but I'm going through a PS2 shooter collecting phase.

@ Silvergun X: I have a good feeling this might be the kind of game that just keeps on giving moments like that.
