    Paper Mario 64.

I never played this when I had a N64. I played the PM TTYD and I loved it, and was always meaning to back track this and up until now i never did.

I'm not the biggest fan of turn based RPG's but Paper Mario is so much fun.

With my next two games being Heavenly Sword and Uncharted I thought i'd get a bigger game in until PS3 arrives this week (already ordered)

Boy! what a treat this is..Its easily in my top ten games and I'm sure it could squeeze in the top 5..its magnificent! so brilliant.

So..I downloaded it Sunday and inbetween the snooker and now Tuesday morning, I have finished the prologue and 5 star sprites..so as you can imagine I've invested some time into it, but that was simple enough as its so brilliant and I can't put it down.

I spent about 2 hours earlier just delivering letters..something about this game..its never a chore and the atmposphere in all 6 levels I've played is absolutely amazing and to me, better than TTYD which i loved.

I guess most of you here have played it originally? if not, I highly recommend this, I can't get over how sublime the whole package is.

    Amazing.

It's amazing, isn't it? Like you, I played it on VC, with my kids' help, over the space of about six weeks. It's a brilliant experience, never a chore.

I went out and bought the original when I'd finished it.

I've bought it on the VC, but never had the time to put it into it! - I've played GC & Wii versions of Paper Mario and they've been ace - It's near the top of my 'to-do' List, I must get around to playing this.

It's well worth it, particularly if you enjoyed the other two.

The audio sounds really scratchy on VC, does this happen on the original cart?

Spent the last few hours delivering letters. Its so much fun taking in the whole atmposphere. Just been given a letter to which i don't think I've been to the location yet. Just came on net to read stuff and might start chapter six a bit later and play it through the night. I really am loving this game. It is stunning.

It's better than Super Paper Mario. That becomes no fun at all to play pretty quickly, once the novelty wears off. It's like all the effort went in to designing the earlier parts of the game, and the latter half's lack lustre (I mean the gameplay, not the plot, which gets better).

                  Just Wow really.

From when i first started it, i thought it looked pretty fine for a n64 game (graphically speaking) I'm now looking at it as if it was a GC game. It honestly looks that good.

Played through chapters 6 and 7 from last night until now. And saved directly after 7 to leave it nicely poised should i get some sleep!

This really is a massive highlight in my gaming 'career'

It is something quite special. I'm thinking of finished SPM again now. But this to me is the game of the series. It is absolutely beautiful and amazing and simply stunning.

Nice to see some Paper Mario love.

Going back after playing Thousand Year Door I was expecting to see a far simpler game with fewer features but man, it’s almost exactly the same. It even looks great - the characters are a bit pixilated in 480p but the backgrounds etc… are easily on par with the cube game.

Another commendable part of the game is the chapter length. None of them feel drawn out or repetitive - but if you want to spend more time there's always a hidden item to track down.

Yeah they really need to bring it back to the original. The rpg elements and exploring are what makes the series great - bring it back.

Finished it about 4am and it was amazing. It was simply amazing.

Forgot to save before i went to the party tho! hehe. (didn't know you wouldn't be able to save after completion screen) it seemed to stay on it! unless it was me!

It was amazing, i can't emphasize that enough. One of the best games I have ever played..ever!!!

Definitely going to try super paper mario again.

I enjoyed Super Paper Mario. Its really funny, but it sort of loses it towards the end.

Thinking of downloading this tonight, but before I do can someone tell me approximately how long it will take to complete? I haven't got time for 60hr epics at the moment, I'm hoping somewhere in the region of 15 hrs.

I really love the paper mario games, My fave is the gamecube one closely followed by the N64 version.
I would have to put them in my to 10 of each consoles best games!

The Wii one is still quite good but I much prefer the style of the first two.

Also, Anyone who enjoys these should also seek out the Mario & Luigi games on GBA and DS as they have similar gameplay styles and are also excellent games!

Heys Parky..is closer to 20 i would think, thats the main game. I beat it in 2 and half days but they were long gaming sessions.

It wont feel that long though as its amazing in every sense of the word.

                              Go get it mate!
