Interesting DS card game. Juushinden: Ultimate beast battlers

Just discovered this cool game the other day, it's a card battle game called Juushinden ultimate beast battlers. I love card battling games, shocked this one totally flew under my radar.

The technology the game uses is pretty special, normally games of this type either use a camera to detect the card (eye of judgement) or some form of barcode scanner (love & berry/mushi king) Juushinden uses a RFID reader called a magic reader. From what i have been able to work out from the little info about it on the net each card has a rfid chip in it that the game can detect when its brought into contact with the reader. It can detect the card in less than a second & you can tap any part of the card on the reader to get it to register.

As with most TCG franchises they get you on the boosters, luckily these are pretty cheap at 100 yen a pack. Like with eye of judgement theres rares, super rare & ultra rare cards meaning they can rape you for max profit LOL. I havent had a good spending session since they stopped e-reader stuff

The game looks pretty easy to play as it goes on the rock paper scissors format. Other factors come into play like elemental types & you can even evolve your cards into stronger forms a-la pokemon. Got it on order so we'll see how good it is when it arrives

Hint for all japanese developers. Put your game to use some weird gadget, and you are guaranteening yourself at least single extra sale.

your not kidding, love those extra peripherals. I was trying to justify why i might want love & berry for its barcode reader but i couldn't bring myself to buy it even though play asia have it at a extremely reduced price.
