A bit of a mix for me this week. Went back to Ghostbusters on the 360 to get a few more of the achievements done and some 360 hydro thunder hurricane action. But surprisingly I've been having a blast on The Lawnmower man on the SFC/SNES.

Played through Return to Castle Wolfenstein on the PC, after I figured out how to make it stop crashing. Thought it was quite good, though a bit light on story & storytelling.

Also started, and abandoned, Chrome and Oni. Chrome was a FPS so generic that it should have been sold in a white box with plain black print, and Oni was just, eh, I got most of the way through level 3, died, reloaded at the last checkpoint and didn't feel like giving it another go.

Got a lot of gaming done this week - completed Turok in under 8 hours & played some multi online. Achieved 900GS from Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection. Revved up AvP for more online play, working my way through my Tiger Woods career and got 75% of Madden Moments done in Madden '11

And of course the obligatory few hours of MW2 multiplayer.

                XB360 Tenchu Z.

Horrible opening title music. In the past the Tenchu games, even when they've not done anything new have at least excelled in creating an exciting olde-worlde Japanese-y atmosphere right from the start. Gets you in the mood for some ninja style stealth killing.

The BGM in Tenchu Z is far better but beginning with some ghastly US style electric guitar rock piece sung in Japanese - urgh. It just wasn't right and consequently it's coloured my feelings about the game which in any case hasn't really grabbed me so far.

Still experiencing a post Red Seeds Profile lull, but anyway....

Finished Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma on easy-peasy mode and found the level of challenge to be perfect. The fact I wasn't getting killed to bits all the time meant the next chapter or boss battle came just at the right moment. The story and art-style are maximum bum, though.

Also just started Afrika. Which is actually fairly ace.

Going back through Oblivion as theres still so much game to do as im still working through the mages guild & i haven't even started the other guilds yet. Even now after so many years it still has the ability to render me mouth open at how beautiful the world it's set in is, no roleplay game has beaten this for a totally dungeons & dragons adventure feeling & that includes dungeons & dragons liscensed games hehe.

Just finished a quest were you crash a dinner party & use a spell to remove everyones clothes LOL, oh how i laughed as they ran screaming. I continued to laugh as i used Jones's shadow to go invisible, as the stripping spell removed my weapons & clothes as well making my escape tricky. The 10 guards that were trying to slice me to bits wouldn't be able to find me thankfully. Managed to get out alive & claim my reward which was a magical staff called the sanguine rose that summons a nice monster to that you can set onto people YAY. God i love this game

Being very new to the XB360 that really makes me want to get Oblivion (GOTYE) even more. I haven't actually finished Morrowind TESIII yet which, apart from the technical glitches, is one of my favourite games on the old Xbox. Proper value for money gaming.

I loved Oblivion, easily put in 200 hours of game play into it. Deffo worth a purchase, it must be in my top ten games of all time.

Playing a bit more MW2 on the PS3, however starting to get annoyed with the original maps being the only ones I ever seem to play. Spending £22 on the map packs only to use them twice on free-for-all makes me more than a little pissed at the people who designed the matchmaking servers!

Apart from that Afrika & GoW3 are en route and 3d Dot Game Heroes is there waiting for a free weekend for recent buys to go with a shed load of games on the shelf that I look at and then play Joe Danger.

After my Wii update debacle earlier in the week I went out and bought UK copies of Tats Vs Cap, Galaxy 2, Sin & Pun 2 and Fragile.

Lot of Wii love in my house this week.

                              Galaxy 2 is simply superb.

RE MW2, there was a playlist option (at very bottom of online game types) when both packs where released - a Hardcore Stimulus/Resurgence Playlist & core too. Not too sure if they've removed these playlists as haven't ventured too far from S&D and HC TDM recently but they allowed you to play various game types on only the new map packs.

Maybe you knew this already but just a quick FYI just in case
