What are GAME like with exchanges?

Anychance i can take it back and exchange it with something else if the seal is gone? I hope so. :/

I could be wrong but I think it must be sealed. That used to be the policy at any rate.

10 days return was abolished some time ago, I believe. Therefore, I would guess it's just luck of the draw. Give 'em a ring and see what they say.

Yeah was abolished just in time for Xmas 2006.

Basically, if you buy something then remove the seal, all they have to offer you is a trade in price, though if you ask the manager nicely there is a chance they may let you have an exchange as a "good will gesture" don't get your hopes up though, unless you're a regular customer. I think they'll basically say tough luck.

Xmas 2006?! Bloody hell.......... shows how much i keep up with high street gaming.......

Here's the clincher, what if the game is unsealed when you buy it, there is basically no proof that you have not played it. Unless Game are now selling all their products sealed for minty freshness.......

They tend to stick their own seal on the box.

And if you want to exchange it, and act all ignorant to that and say there was no seal put on it at all when you bought it, a random member of staff gets bollocked and they exchange it anyway.

That's how it worked in the store I was in anyway.

To be fair to GAME, since the change in policy the number of sealed games I've got from them has increased. Still get the odd one that gets through unsealed but they are much fewer and far betwee.

Also seeing an increase in the number of cases on the shelf with "Display only" printed on the pack, usually indicating you'll get a sealed one.

In the end, i just traded it in instead. They know me too well in there to try anything. The game was NG2 btw, hugely dissapointed with it.

I was all ready to flame you until I read that last line. Cynicism saved you

Working in retail for five years convinced me that everyone should be made to do it for a year, like some kind of shopping national service, just to see for themselves all the **** store staff get for their minimum wage. But let's not get started there

It was my personal experience from working in GAME twice myself.

There's never any more than 2 copies of any one game gutted for display now (providing they're doing it properly) so yeah chances are much higher now that you'll get a new game sealed, unless it's from konami, they rarely come pre-sealed.
