    Linger in Shadows PSN

Nice trailer, but very little info at the moment, no confirmation if it's even a game:

I thought it was a demoscene production by Plastic?

Yes i think that was what it was originally thought to be. But the ESRB rating suggests something more.

Nice. Hopefully there'll be some interactive elements.

There isn't enough games in the flying dog genre, I hear this one will use the sixaxis controller glide the dog around.

This was covered in EDGE a few issues back and is a mod scene demo that was then picked up by santa monica. No one said anything about it being a game, or even in any playable state.

I'm sure it said in the EDGE article that it was interactive or I definitely read that somewhere over the past few months. No idea how interactive, interactive is though.

It's only a short trailer that's on there but they have confirmed the inter active one will get a PSN release sometime.

It's interesting I suppose and fairly impressive when you realise that it's running on the Cell only.

Plastic shares Linger in Shadows development tools

Are you familiar with the demoscene group known as Plastic? If you are not, then you've been taking the "interactive digital art" Linger in Shadows for granted. Plastic is the group responsible for putting LiS together; so all your strange nightmares of floating Basset Hounds are all thanks to them. Speaking of 'putting LiS together,' Plastic group co-founder, Bonzaj, sent us a tip on a video the group made which showcases some of the tools used in making Linger.

The group used something called "Pico" -- a graphics engine for integration with Maya. "The tools are Maya plugins," said Bonzaj. "... and they can be downloaded from our site for free." Budding game developers (or digital artists for that matter) might want to avail of the free tools, but first, you'll probably want to check out that video we mentioned earlier and see those tools in action. You can watch that after the break.

It's pretty cool of Plastic to share some of the tools they used for Linger in Shadows, looks a little bit too advanced for me but I'm sure some people will get some use out of it, looks like you need Maya to use it though.
