Super Metriod VC Release - does this happen to anyone else ?

Fired up Super Metriod last night to have a play and it seems I have to play with either German or French subtitles..............

Ummmmmmmmmmmm why ??? Does this happen to anyone else ?

Yeah, those are on the actual cartridge too. Annoying, but ah well.

It's not such an inconvenience - the translation kicks in on a grand total of two occasions: once for intro movie, and once again for final collection-stats page.

Not as much on an inconvenience as playing it in 50hz anyway
